Dear Breana,
I would really appreciate your perspective on modestly and fashion as a Christian. It’s something I personally struggle with as I see Christian girls wearing revealing, form fitting and less modest clothing. I personally feel convicted about it as I believe we should adorn our selves in a way that doesn’t highlight our sexuality but rather be mindful that our body is the temple of the holy spirit. It doesn’t feel right to wear sexy clothes knowing other men and women would admire our body perhaps in a sexual manner while that should only be for our husbands eyes. I know this may sound old school but I believe the Bible is the same today as it was 300 years ago and only bc our worlds fashion is evolving I think we should be more careful as Christian’s to stand out and not be a stumbling block for someone else. Would love to hear your view on this.
Modesty is way more attractive. This world is self obsesseddd. It's a huge turn off, as a Christian... 🚩🚩🚩
hi lovie! i hear you, this is definitely an important topic as a christian. i could answer more intentionally with more words/in a video, but i truly believe heart posture is everything! two people could be wearing the same outfit or posing for the same picture, but you can truly feel the posture of heart/intentions behind why someone is wearing, posing, or acting in a certain way. at the end of the day, our greatest responsibility is to be held accountable to God & not other christians. we can encourage one another in strength/truth, but i pray everyone's convictions would come from personal intimacy with jesus vs. fear of what other christians are thinking. it's such a personal journey & i think there is a beauty in focusing more on what God is speaking to us personally vs. wondering if someone else is in the right or wrong!
