There's actually another interesting detail with Mother, it may be pretty well known but I think it still will be worth mentioning it. If you cross a bridge with her ( without a truck ), she begins shaking and later explains that she has a fear of bridges due to that big incident in her past. I feel bad every time I cross a bridge with her because of that :(
Another thing. If you go into deep water while carrying her, she gets washed away and while floating in the river shouts something like "Sam!" "Where are you?"

Another good one is that certain items you deliver, like the evodevo unit and the doctors medical device are available to be delivered to all other locations after the first mission to deliver them.
In my opinion, the 5 floating figures represent the Big Five. Each figure is an Extinction Entity (EE) from a different era. The 6th would be Amelie, after the actual Death Stranding ends. At least thats how i like to see it. It is also true that, at the end, when Amelie says that you can go back because "you're still connected", she points up to them, and that would explain the friends theory. I feel as if most of the penalties in this game, like John McClain feet and blood piss, serve as help more than a hindrance. I’m not saying to hurt Sam as much as possible, but it just feels like Kojima wants players to keep going despite all the crap the player might go through.
I got the same impression. You're already going through a rough time of it if these things pop up, so it's just the slightest bit of aid from the game to just squeak by whatever problem you're facing now. Director's Cut added just a few extra things to help, like BB getting excited and seeing BTs easier or actively blocking bullets shot at you.
Listen I knew the moment I heard the 50/50 split that this game truly filtered a lot of people. Like I'm still in the tutorial and I know I'm gonna love it. not even a kojima fanboy. only played metal gear solid 3 snake eater on ps2 got all the way to the boss and never beat her. Idk why.

SPOILER WARNING (also edited because I just have finished the game) . . . . . . The fact that Bridget's corpse does not go necro has to do with that she has insanely high amounts of chiralium in her body, possibly related to her being an Extinction Entity. Similarly, Mama's body also does not go necro because of chiralium according to Heartman. Note that burning Bridget's corpse immediately causes a timefall because of all of the chiralium being released into air - this is the only corpse seen to do that. Also, notice that Amelie's chiralogram has golden glow - that is a hint related to who she really is and where she truly resides.
As for the 5 figures being Sam's friends, thank you. That's what I've been going on for a while. And I can confirm that the figure in the middle is holding a baby, if you approach the 5 from the side and use photo mode you can make out the model better.
@advokatarkadiya3274 but he's the one that grabs Sam from the beach by pulling him while in the Seam. He shouldn't be able to get there, but holding Lou, he can. If he can get there, then there's no reason he can't get to the beach. There's one figure holding a baby.
Wow, amazing video, good job! Kojima's games always have incredible amounts of detail to them. One thing I noticed was that the Odradek will turn into a baby mobile when you're comforting BB, I always found that to be a cute touch :)

I noticed something playing today, if you press the attack button just before a mule hits you, you can dodge behind them and counter-attack without even needing the strand. Ah and if people weren't aware, using the strand you can counter attack mules making them negligible threat in one on one situations.
@@Bloodhoven ah sorry, with the little rope you carry you can counter attacks. But you can also counter without it somehow.... I think punching right before they hit you.
Fantastic video of details, I've been trying to find others myself. I have something to add if you plan on a second episode of this. The Bola gun can be used against the BT cat to cancel attack animations. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or an intended feature but it makes the Bola gun viable during Catcher fights. I have footage of it happening.

I don't know how people managed to get mama through the mountains without using the hot springs tbh, I didn't even know they were there but they are placed so perfectly.
@@thechugg4372 in my case i spent the majority of chapter 3 making standard deliveries to the point that i build every road , so when i continued the story and got to mountain city i just built all the roads that goes to distribution center north of mountain knot city, and the rest of the way up to mountain city i used the truck

What I love about this game is that it almost can't be spoiled as I haven't played this game and after watching this video I still don't know what happens
This video mostly avoids major spoilers and only hints at a few of them, but if you were like halfway through the game it would reveal a couple things to you that you might have only suspected (or not thought about at all), including something relating to the ending. The game certainly has some plot twists that make you look at things differently when you're replaying for a second time, as well as other developments that are not necessarily a shocking reveal but still nice to experience as they occur rather than knowing in advance.
The most strange thing, that (at least on ps4) you can completely ignore the BB mechanics (by muting controller) and almost always get away in clean - game does not punish for that move. Another thing I did really not getting is forgiveness to the player about corpses left behind. I've beaten the game literally messing every human NPC, and was wiped away only once somewhere on the midway to Heartman (or from) into loading screen, where there was a notice that all corpses would be removed from the game. I wish it would've been wiping saves instead, like old Splinter cell game did (after 3 failures if I remember correctly)
@Flying Mudkip The only tip I guess I have is to build a good zipline network if you havent gotten all of the people to 5 stars since it will cut down your travel time a lot. Besides that just do the requirements for the achievements and thats it
It's a missed opportunity to have sam be left handed even to the point where certain acitons are blocked if it's unavailable, yet they still make him ambidextrous with guns
Once when I was riding a bike and calling out, Sam said something like "I'm fucking done" and a terrorist said "Hell yeah". There were also a couple more interactions with them while on the bike but I can't remember. The terrorists kept cheering me up :D

Once when I was riding a bike and calling out, Sam said something like "I'm fucking done" and a terrorist said "Hell yeah". There were also a couple more interactions with them while on the bike but I can't remember. The terrorists kept cheering me up :D

I have almost 170 hours on this game: I had no idea that you could use Floating Carriers like a skateboard.
I've only seen about 1/3 even after a 100-hour play through.
There is a reason Kojima is one of the best!
