  • Learn more about ASU’s Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and toxicology from Maxwell Leung, a Global Futures Scientist and assistant professor at ASU. “One of the unique things about the pharmacology and toxicology program is that there are very few of them in this country that include both and focus on both quantitative science and biological science,” Leung said. “Pharmacology has to do with the clinical health outcome that a chemical achieves when administered to a person. While toxicology, on the other hand, has to do with the adverse effects the chemical has on a person.” With a background in both pharmacology and toxicology, graduates can seek positions in a variety of industries and be well-equipped to pursue graduate and professional programs in pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacy, medicine and public health.
