These exercises have really helped strengthening my knees. I am starting to learn badminton and was coming in with a knee injury. What I realized is I had to strengthen muscles around the knee to give it better support. Thank you!

I begginer to Badminton and I was searching for warm up excersize for knee a month ago and I found your vedios and obviously this one is very helpful and I'm practicing everyday..slowly my knee is getting into nice footwork than before. . Thank you so much coach. Keep going and expecting such vedios more often.
Thank you so much coach.. Yeah i have trouble with my right knee.. I'm 40 and just love to play the game.. Love to watch your videos with my son who also plays badminton... They are so simple and you do it with so much clarity.. Please do help with shoulder strengthening exercises as well.. My right shoulder feels sore after too much tossing and smashing.. Thanks a lot again.. Lots of love from India😊
You are very welcome! And will definitely do shoulder strengthening in one of my videos... Thank you to you and to my many friends from India for the love and support!😁🏸
Badminton Coach Kennie thank u for knee strengthening video mam waiting for shoulder strengthening thank u for ur support to becoming a badminton player lots of luv thank u very much🙂😇
Thank you very much, coach.I have just watched your video.I love badminton, though I am 50 plus.I don't have any troubles with my knees. From today onwards I start following all your exercises to strengthen my knees.thank you.
Mam plz I have asked u for a backhand smash video so long......u said u ll do it soon..... eagarly awaiting video mam...... hoping that you take these words 🙏
Doing my best to get to different topics... shooting the video is not easy since we are encouraged not to get together in groups, my team and i cant get into specific shoots like the one you requested bec that requires different angles for better understanding. Pls bear with the delay and many requests are truly hard to grant immediately... as we are not fully allowed to get together i also have to work as coach with my regular students via online. Thank you for your patience and understanding😁🏸
I am happy to know you find my videos useful. Just make sure that when your son do the exercises that it is not too hard for him or you can modify and lessen repetitions depending on his age. Thanks!
Hello mam my daughter is playing badminton she is having pain on back knee while streighing her legs and she cannot bending Full.. can this excercise help her
These are strengthening exercises for players who are not in any pain. Let her rest and recover her leg but if it stll doesnt get better pls have her checked first just to be sure we don’t make things worse. 😁🏸
Thank you for for the video exercises, well explained. I am 59 years old I still love to play but my knees are weak due to wear out, what would you suggest to strengthen it.
I like the way you present your contents. They are very insightful. I have this issue on my dominant arm the last time i played badminton (as a beginner), After the game I felt like it was swelling and when I woke up the next day there was a bruise at my upper arm. Was it because i was hitting with my racket with a wrong position? Will appreciate your advice.
You are not suppose to bruise unless you physically hit yourself with the racket. Pls observe that and if that happens a lot, pls have your arm checked. 😁🏸
Coach its great video, for a player who already had ACL reconstruction surger(after 1 yr) is it helpful? I want to play like before my injury. Is it possible as per experience?
When you are fully recovered and given a go signal by your doctor to get back into training, it should be ok. Most of my players who have had acl are back in shape and as strong as ever😁🏸
There is nothing much you can do for you knees directly.. but: 1. loose weight if you are over... 2. Dont over train. 3. Strengthen your quads, Glutes, and other leg muscles so that maximum load is borne by them. 4. Invest in High quality badminton shoes with right amount of cushioning. 5. Work on your FOOTWORK and technique.. Don't always jump and smash. 6. Lastly get a patella/knee brace if you have unstable knee or are experiencing pain.. 7. Cold compress on knee, ankle, elbow and shoulders after playing each day works wonders. All the best with your play. Baddie for Life!
Definitely workable! I will do a video on that but try warming up really well before getting on court to play when i say warm slightly sweating because that way you can move more... and do not overthink the game... take it one point at a time. Focus on what gets u your points and guard spots where you miss the shuttle! 😁🏸
Wonderful Video Mam... My left knee hurts a bit... I knew only one exercise (Sitting & tightening the thigh muscles).. I will surely add these to my routine... I follow along ur warm up video every single day and has been very helpful.. Thanks a TON... :)
Hello mam, I need your advice . I am playing badminton on cemented pitch / concrete pitch . For 1 hour daily is it going to harm my knees in the long run ?
I would always recommend playing in better surfaces other than cement to take care of your knees and lower back. However, i did train in cement with the national team for awhile, maybe i was just lucky not to have had any major injuries and only a sprain. So depending on how strong your body can take it but ofcourse i would rather have better options if there are options... 😁🏸
@@CoachKennieAsuncion during this lockdown in our country I cannot attend regular badminton court. Therefore I am playing in my society's cemented area. I just hope that my body can bare it and I won't develop any injuries. I ll take precautions and I will do these knees strengthening exercises. Rest thank you so much for your reply mam . Hi mam my daughter is practicing badminton from two years from two months she is getting knee pain can u advice whether we need to approach doctor r this exercises are enough plz do rply tq
Mam, l am 55 years old and I play Masters Nationals . I do exercises daily but on court I can’t because if I do shadow or if I play next day my knee pains a lot and even I can’t do my regular exercises.its right leg right side of my knee pains please suggest me some exercises which help me. Also suggest me few moving exercises.Thank you
It’s great to know that you play Masters Nationals!! With regards to your knee, i will recommend the wall squats from this video everyday but pls do try it first and its not suppose to hurt ur knee. Squat higher first then slowly work your way for a lower squat when you feel stronger. Do you ice your knee after you play? I hope so because that has also helped me a lot when i feel something with my knee. As for drills, dont do much of it because its gonna tire & wear out your knee the wall squats should strengthen it, then your practice play (i assume is heavy and fast paced) would be enough and just ice after every play. 😁🏸
Body aches will be lessened over time when your body has adjusted to your routine or usual game play. Tiredness and laziness together probably means you’re not enjoying the game. 😁🏸
Pls see a doctor, i am not an expert with injuries and what i share will be based on experiences but if u want a more specific help, its the doctor or physical therapist who can assess your condition and help u better😁🏸
