Yeah thats y ep 5 looked awful they thought they could draw like they did in dbz but with a more modern glossy art style but they soon learned they can't do that cause it looks like trash
Yuya has the good looks for a pleasant but short fight seen while naotoshi has the style for a more all over the place and vivid fight these are my 2 favorite animators I want to see them work together for a single fight seen

And man, look at that Gohan, the only moment he seems the DBZ Mistic Gohan... Vegeta with his badass face... man... Takahashi is better than any other animator from DBS 👌🏻
nah, shida still takes the cake when it comes to animation. His fights are so dynamic and fast paced, plays with the camera angles. Even with a tight schedule he did decent when he animated Goku/trunks vs Zamasu/Black. When he has more time he is absolutely incredible, jiren vs mui goku and goku vs hearts. shida for animation, takahashi for art style.

Man yuya takahashi is way above yamamuro at point, the art, the shading, It's remarkable and superb. Ugh I wish yamamuro could have sticked to these character sheets,and I don't understand why he abandoned his older approach from the buu arc.

Nobody seems to talk about this, but at 0:39 you can see that when Vegeta is being send into the edge of the Arena, his mouth ALMOST looks like he's smiling, it's a funny & kinda scary drawing decision made by Takahashi but at least shows more expressivity in the scene.
