Actually having italy in your faction can be very usefull. I did a campaign where i declared war on every non facist nation, and when the french troops got too much, i got italy in the faction and they all flocked to italies border and i didnt call them in. Then the Ai realized that i wasnt going to call them in, so they left italies front. and after that the whole campaign was very easy
@@tix2260 It depends on who you play as. I never try to hold afrika since thats where the ai's troops are. I just rush down the fastest way to their capital, so when i play as france i never have any troops in colonial territory since that only matters if you go for a long game.

So I had a weird game as ussr. I used a mod that reduced the time required to finish focuses while keeping historical ia on. Germany declared war on me when Poland was still alive, followed by a declaration on Yugoslavia. Meanwhile the Brits declared on forward/Denmark,.... Ext is was a huge mess. Norway join the Comintern. Grèce was in the Comintern. Grèce was naval invaded an obscene amount of time and they held on. I am amazed at how good Grèce was at defending it's own territories.
Idem, but as the hellenic republic, basically ww2 ended in 1943 and after the peace conference it basically resulted that the major part of europe was communist, cause soviet union was basically in god mode against germany while the allies were losing. I even got somehow a communist civil war and it ended good, i won it as the democratics, and albania basically declared war on me calling the whole commintern, fortunately, i was an allies member and we fought against comintern as i remember. Hungary and Romania got a lil mad and leaved commintern and joined The Japanese Co-Sphere, they ended like commintern declared war on hungary and romania and hungary got split into a " Hungarian Federative Republic " as i remember and Romania returned communist.

When I was doing a historical playthrough as Germany, I legit almost lost against France and UK in 1939 because they immediately broke through Alpine front, capitulated the Pasta man and almost reached Munich. I only won because I capitulated France first

After 5 minutes you already fighting with the half of the world, trying to make a Berlin-Moscow pact, just to be sure that USSR will not freaking take half of your country while you’re trying to fight back against Belgium, France, and… Oh hell no! Even as a player I can't hold Lybia for shit. Landing in UK is the easy part, so is conquering them. For some reason 99% of British AI's forces in in the Mediterranean, and almost none in the actual homeland. As Italy is my favorite county to play as, I just abandon the Mediterranean entirely (except for Italy itself lol) and focus on the English Channel.
To bad that you cant ignore Italy as Germany, they are to strong/important to be ignored but to useless to really made a difference if not from a Player played... they all ways start shit to early as NPC's... i have heard.

They work as a decoy for British navy just to support your sealion on british isles
For me i was having a bad time with sealion cuz British navy and when I called Italy it was all gone

I capped the Allies early, called in Italy and they got the entirety of Great Britain.
