I'm picking up a 98 vstar for a fantastic low price. Bike #22 in my life ! It's been somebody's daily rider with 33k miles, still completely stock and runs well. It seriously needs washed lol ! I think i'm going to keep it low budget and do this exhaust plus AIS delete. I hate the popping in stock exhaust! The lolly pops will help get it just right 👍
Its an odd pipe size but you can buy muffler reducer inserts to put on the homemade pipes until you can U clamp it on the header. It was a pretty hard crush fit. The seal doesn't have to be perfect since there wasn't much back pressure in the homemade pipes. Could also put some header wrap in the joint to help seal it up.
Due to the use of the factory head pipes no re-jet was necessary. You may see additional power from re-jetting the carburetor, but I never tried it to verify that.
It is a homemade exhaust system so The installation of custom made pipes will very for every bike. You can make pipes like this for your motorcycle but the attachment method and mounting will probably be different.
When a fence guy works on his motorcycle.. 😂
@@fstmonte2002 I wish I could do fence 🤣 it’s exhaust pipe from an exhaust shop I promise.

What kind of saddle bags ?
I honestly don't know. I haven't had this bike for several years now.
Hi, I am having troubles connecting the homemade pipes with the factory header.... could you explain how did you solve it?
