I watched this during her live Christmas show in 2021. I can honestly say it may be the most moving performance by any artist I've ever seen. When I listen to Angelina, I believe.

Great reaction. This was the bonus song at the end of her livestream Christmas concert in 2021. The whole thing was amazing, featuring great musicians from the 1960s- 1980s and interviews. Angelina always is at her best when performing live! Angelina sang this song with such conviction and respect!

It's a Christian song by Lauren Daigle. "You" refers to God, but that's only made obvious in the single line "You have every failure, God, You have every victory". Without that, it could refer to any support giving person.

I agree, Britt. Angelina absolutely felt this song and gave it much respect. In fact, I think she chooses songs that move her and touch her soul. She then sings them with conviction and purity from her heart. It's just one of many things that make AJ a remarkable performer.

This is a wonderful song! It won a Grammy (Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song) in 2019 and Billboard's Top Christian Song. Angelina must be at the absolute bottom of her range, because she altered the lowest notes (like at 5:47) where Lauren Daigle's original recording is 1 note lower than Angelina does it.
Actually it was a stylistic choice on the low notes. You will notice that Lauren sits on the low notes at the end of the phrase. Angelina hits the same note (D3) but then bounces/slides it up a minor 3rd (F). It is not better or worse than how Lauren does it. It is simply Angelina adding her own style to the song. Angelina's range actually goes a couple notes lower to a C3 in a couple of her other videos. I'm not quite sure why you feel the urge to point out something negative like this on such a beautiful song with such a great message. Seems a little petty.

You are a fan of Angelina, who in my opinion begs the world to be nice to eachother, to be tolerant. I don't understand why he says nothing else about the performance, but hey, that's ok! Check out the mashup of Lauren & Angelina. Their tempos and styling is very similar. At some points they even sound somewhat alike. Nice that you found this. Had really hoped AJs team would release something from that 2021 concert for the 2022 holiday season. Most of what we've gotten this year has been audio only.
She was using the original backing track. So that would explain how it mashed up so well. This song had definitely been on my wish list for Angie since it came out. I noticed similar stylings with Lauren.
The song is so beautiful, but Angelina, like Lauren, takes it to another level. This is one of those Angelina songs where I need a box of tissues nearby. I am always in awe of this beautiful human.

Lauren’s rendition is magnificent! And Angelina’s voice is nearly mistakable for Lauren’s; they sound that much alike in this rendition; but Angelina adds just the right touches to make a great song even greater!
Angelina has a way of grabbing your heart strings and taking you on an emotional journey you never planned on. She can make you laugh or cry and feel a broken heart or awash in love and all seemjngly with zero effort. She is a gift to us and we should all treasure her.

At the very end of the Christmas Show on December 21, 2021, Angelina performed "You Say", I lost my breath, and I got chills, and the tears began to fall. I am an atheist, and my faith is in mankind, not some mythical being. I believe the song "You Say" is referring to Angelina's Angles, those that support her in her quest. There must be a supernatural place in the universe, how else can we explain this being called Angelina Jordan.
Is it me or is this her most beautiful performance ever. I have serious goose bumps. Good lord she obliterated this song.

I think to better understand why Norwegians hold Angelina so dear and high right now,is that we have to go back all the way to 1985,the last time we had artists that was so good,they achieved world wide fame and supporters. A-ha has been the only band so far to have made it big in Europe,Asia,USA,Canada and you name it,basically worldwide. Now granted we have a duo that has been really close to A-ha in recent years,in the Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz. If you for some reason wonder who they are,check out one of theyr newest music videos,its very fitting lyrics to what is going on in Eastern Europe theese days: Nico & Vinz - Peace (Official Music Video)
But Angelina Jordan seems to carry that xfactor,the abilities that the guys in A-ha possesses,so i think many Norwegians are hoping that Angelina will be this worldwide force of nature in music,so they finally stop getting teased for "only having A-ha from several decades ago" to brag about. Of course Angelina is not supposed to be rushed out,and i think most Norwegians have patience there,but they silently dream and pray that she will be the next big thing.
I have talked alot about Norwegian music and the curse it seems to have had on artists in popular music,ever since A-ha. Its like the management worked more against theyr artists then the artists not being good enough,or whatever other reason people thought of. A-ha did everything right,had the right management etc,they would not stop until theyr goals were met.
I see alot of similarities with Angelina and the team around her,its very smart and passionately driven,they have goals but with time,and not for any prize. The most important thing is to let Angelina stay Angelina,let her be her own creative soul,and put her own stamp on things. Dressing in what she feels comfortable in,doing whatever genre she wants to (Angelina doesnt stay in 1 genre,she loves music in general) She is not to be ruined by rich,sleazy backmen in the buisness that wants to turn her into theyr own fantasies or visions of "popular pop babes" or what have you... I hope Angelina never gets pushed over by pressure from the industry,to look or act a certain way,but be strong enough to continue being her own self. I know of so many young ladies that buckled under pressure,and its just as sad to see every time.

Lauren Daigle wrote this beautiful song and sang it beautifully. But my soul and heart are invested in Angelina. This song deserves love an introspection, not competition, like who does it best. I love Angelina's voice, I love the words to this song, and I love both these beautiful young women for this present to my soul. PS: Introspection tells me that my life would have been so much better if I had lived it like either of these two ladies. May God bless them both.

Yes Angelina is a Christian, protestant based and she reflects the loving, kind and forgiving heart that Jesus our savior is. She and the family are private about it and we respect that. If more Christians acted, no.. if more people acted like that, maybe the world wouldn't be in such a mess. . This is a beautiful song by Lauren Daigle. But I like Angelina's take on it a bit more. The ariginal singer of this song is Lauren Daigle. You must watch a mash up by Kelidoscope RMX of Lauren and Angelina's voices singing this song together. They are both singing at the same tone and pitch. They have AJ and Lauren's pictures beside each other. They swap the voices as the song plays. I is hard to tell who's voice is singing. Their voices are so similar.

When she did this originally on her Christmas Show it made my Christmas in 2021 and I kept re-watching a 100 times, it is up there with my all time top 10 performances in the past 50 years. I am so pleased they have released this video as it hasn't been officially available. Her album is going to be the best ever based on hearing her new track yesterday and hopefully they include this track. Lovely reaction and look forward to the next one.
