    Thank you for this. This was very good. Too bad you did not include the date. I had to look for it myself: 1962.
    I was surprised by Gropius' command of English. He didn't move to an English-speaking country until he was 50+. Here he is with a command of the language, vocabulary and confidence to use it.

    A Bauhaus de Gropius tinha como principio o design prático, mas nunca esquecendo que a psique é parte do prático.

    Most young people have no idea that the world in which we live has always been the invention of people like Gropius who broke from conventional practices to create new forms in art and architecture. The Bauhaus set us off on a very different path from what came before.
