The Boston Society for Architecture (BSA) is a non-profit membership organization focused on improving the quality of life for Boston-area residents by championing innovation in the built environment, with particular emphasis on sustainability and social equity. We achieve this by connecting our diverse and passionate network of over 4,500 architects, firms and allied members through collaborative initiatives that create solutions towards a more equitable and sustainable future. We extend and deepen these efforts philanthropically through our BSA Foundation, with donations and hands-on work in our community. The BSA is one of the oldest and largest chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). For more information about the BSA and the BSA Foundation, visit architects.org.

Similar in scale and attitude to my Vermont practice. Some good tidbits in here. Thanks.
This is what some drivers don't understand. Putting in safe, dedicated cycle lanes like this doesn't increase congestion, imagine if everyone in this video was driving a car, traffic would be aweful
Huh?
What doesn't make news, however, is that both FBMS and the property management conveniently turn a blind eye to the rampant crack cocaine epidemic in this community. Indications suggest that approximately 60% of Rodeway's residents use crack. This figure becomes even more disturbing when you consider the prevalence of numerous other substance abuses. However, solving these seemingly complex issues would be a lot simpler if all our concerns were merely witnessing talks of prostitution and drug deals while walking down the foyer. Ultimately, this menacing environment is tremendously detrimental to the mental health of anyone who is even minimally seeking a decent and meaningful life.
Most young people have no idea that the world in which we live has always been the invention of people like Gropius who broke from conventional practices to create new forms in art and architecture. The Bauhaus set us off on a very different path from what came before.
They are really think is this work
I like chair next to the bed & a mobile table the other side. Bedside cupboards get in the way. Need more room for wheelie walkers. Pantry cupboards are the go - easy to reach - nothing on the bottom or top shelves.
I like the mobile base furniture. Putting all my furniture on wheels as did my mother.
This is so freaking cool. Thank you so much for preserving this.
This is an excellent presentation, thank you for sharing!

Great interview,, great man
Great video 👍🏻 does anyone know how is GWP calculated per year? I have seen total GWP results which i know are for a 50 year period i believe, per m2 ( this is standard for LCAs for buildings) but sometimes as architects we are being asked to describe our design as kgCO2e per m2 per year. How would that be calculated?

Just bought this book! Can't wait for it to arrive. Love the idea of a 'pretty good house'
What a great idea having the bicycles outnumber the cars like that!
Very well done 😌
Skip ahead to minute 5, bad audio in the beginning.
A Bauhaus de Gropius tinha como principio o design prático, mas nunca esquecendo que a psique é parte do prático.

Hi the cover image {green} of your video shows a kind of sorting geometry, how was that done please?thank you
I missed the 709 ft development on this site. Hopefully, Boston will reconsider hi rise version instead.
hello, you can tighten up the mitters by morphing once you have you final look
I don't know if it is just me, but hte video does not seem to match the audio
Thanks everyone.
This is absurd. Humans were not born to live their lives in a sterile bubble. As you mentioned we have an immune system that has an actual task. Why would you want to weaken its functions by sterilising the environment. It's basic logic and common sense to want to strengthen the natural immune system. C19 has a global survival rate of 99,97% according to WHO in 2021. The rate hasn't changed in since 2020. You are wasting your time and energy. How about finding solutions for the billions of tonnes of masks littering our beautiful planet? Get a job.
Complexity in mathematics and in the legal system is part of a problem many concerned academics are discussing these days. This new video addresses several issues we should all care about: ruclips.net/video/rVCoT-Z0mBA/видео.html
Wish you would of specified every factor used to determine a materials embodied carbon footprint
Remove the Earth’s atmosphere or even just the GreenHouse Gases and it becomes much like the Moon, an arid, barren rock ball with no water vapor, clouds, snow, ice or oceans, no more 30% albedo, hot^3 (400 K) on the lit side, cold^3 (95 K) on the dark. That is NOT what Radiative GreenHouse Effect theory says. It is what Nikolov, Kramm, and UCLA Diviner say. The K-T diagram (TFK_bams90) counts 63 W/m^2 upwelling Long Wave InfraRed twice: 160 - 17 - 80 = 63 once and 396 - 333 = 63 second. Laws of Thermo 1 allows only one, the real one from the sun. Erase the 396/333/63 from the graphic, the balance is unaffected and the GHG warming loop disappears. 342 arrives from the sun, net albedo 70% or 240 makes it into the atmosphere, net/net 160 arrives at the surface. Per LoT1 160 is ALL!! that can leave. The 396 is “extra” appearing out of nowhere. The 396 is a theoretical “What if?” calculation for a Black Body at 16 C serving as the denominator of the emissivity ratio: 63/396=0.16. IR instruments do not measure power flux, they measure temperature and infer W/m^2 by assuming emissivity and assuming 1.0 or .95 is assuming wrong. As demonstrated by experiment the surface cannot and does not radiate as a BB and as such there is no “extra” energy for the GHGs to warm or do whateveh. For the experimental write up see: principia-scientific.org/debunking-the-greenhouse-gas-theory-with-a-boiling-water-pot/ ZERO RGHE, ZERO GHG warming, ZERO CAGW or CO2 driven climate change. I loved the work so much! I've been trying to research for a RUclips vid similar to yours that informs the stuff in this RUclips video! 🙌Your video is like the videos of Dr. Ethan! Doctor Ethan's tips are totally insightful and he helped me on school. He is an educational health enthusiast in the UK! I recommend you check out his channel out and give the Dr a like! ➡️ #FutureDoctorEthan
unfortunately, there is no audio after 29:29
Thanks for the heads up! The video has been replaced and is now fully-functional.
@@BSAAIA where can i find a link to the new upload?
@@londonpm Any luck? I experienced the same problem.
By reflecting away 30% of the ISR the atmospheric albedo cools the earth much like that reflective panel behind a car's windshield. For the greenhouse effect to perform as advertised "extra" energy must radiate upwards from the surface. Because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules such ideal BB upwelling "extra" energy does not exist. Backed by an experimental demonstration, the gold standard of classical science. www.linkedin.com/posts/nicholas-schroeder-55934820_climatechange-greenhouse-co2-activity-6749812735246254080-bc6K There is no "extra" energy for the GHGs to "trap" and "back" radiate and no greenhouse warming. With no greenhouse effect what CO2 does or does not do, where it comes from or where it goes and its climate sensitivity value becomes moot. Equally moot are temperatures, ice caps, glaciers, polar bears, sea levels, hurricanes, nuclear power, solar minimums, CH4, ….
2:32 I like that😍💋 💝💖❤️
Thanks!
