Best how to video yet for this. I recently bought a QX70 and dealer said it would be nearly $500 to replace the battery 😐I was able to do it myself with the help of this video. Thank you!
Fantastic - this 7-minute video saved me so much time! I followed it step-by-step, and I was back up and driving in about the same amount of time as it took to watch the video. Thanks, Auto Teacher! 🚗💨
Thank you. This is the best "infinity specific" video on youtube about changing a battery: the shroud removals, ect.Other videos skip right over the details and just talk about battery terminals and crap that we already know.
Hi thanks for the video. I have a 2002 i35 and need to change the battery. I am concerned about losing the car's memory settings when I disconnect the old battery. Should I be concerned?
It does no damage to the engine PCM or any vital part of your vehicle. When changing the battery you lose power for a short time so all your settings clock, radio, memory seat might have to be reset. A memory saver is an entirely optional tool when you’re changing your car battery. It does an excellent job of saving you from the hassle of resetting the settings of your car.
If you go to any auto parts store, they'll be able to get you the proper battery for your vehicle.Try to buy the highest cranking and the longest month battery you can afford. It will hopefully save you an inconvenience down the road.
I would go up to AutoZone and have them scan it for you and hopefully they can clear the codes. The light should never come on from just replacing the battery.

You will not if you connect the wires to a battery maintainer

Last time i replaced mine on my mazda 3 give me some throttle problems, any chances can happen to my infinity m56 2011?
It shouldn't ,did you clear the battery memory with a scan tool or leave the battery disconnected for about 15 minutes?
Wow thank you soooo much
You’re welcome!
What size or kind of battery' do I get for the infiniti g35x 2008

They told me at O’reilys I’d have to take it to a mechanic to do this since it’s push to start is that true ?
To change the battery? You don’t need to take it in to do that. The car in the video was push to start.
I followed these steps but when I connected the new battery my horn just starts blowing and doesn’t quit. Any advice?
Have the proximity key in the vehicle and sometimes you have to lock unlock, etc. so the car realizes somebody's not trying to steal it.
When I remove the battery will all the electric setting reset also
Yes, they should all reset.
You may not have to if you connect the wires to a battery maintainer
Is this with the smart key?
Yes it does
Thanks bro
You’re welcome!
Nailed it
Glad it helped!
Hey, so I changed the battery but now all of a sudden my VDC and SLIP lights are on and won’t go off, any idea why?? Would appreciate the help!
That shouldn’t be happening. Try removing the terminals for 5-10 minutes and then putting them back on.
@@TheAutoTeacher hey, thanks so much for the fast reply! So I tried that, didn’t help, and I have nooooo idea what to do

@@TheAutoTeacher gotcha, I’ll give that a shot tomorrow morning, thanks again!

this battery is so expensive - 400 CAD
Yeah, batteries aren't very cheap. I believe we got this one for about $180 USD. The we have in the video description is 311 CAD
