I visit this temple by my cycle for the last 5 years... People did not know about this place back then,It was a really calm and cheerful place..Now its very crowded and noisy.. And Thanks to you too -_-
I rode up on a Saturday and there was nobody there, other than construction workers. Only cyclists are likely to see this video, and I think the type of cyclist who makes it to the top, is one who will respect the location - this isn't Chandani Chowk after all. I think the guards indicated that there were being more strict about whom they allow up too (unsure if this is a recent change). All things considered, I don't believe in keeping great routes to myself! Nevertheless, thank you for your comment, and I hope things are better now.
@@TheIndianCyclist Yup, i did go. It rained throughout. But it was so blissful. Amazing route though. After jarsheswar, instead of going back on the same route, i went to Hinjewadi via mutha and pirangut.
Must have been lovely for sure - the Khadakwasla backwaters are one of the best places to experience the monsoons, once had a puncture there and walked for 5 km without caring! Kudos for getting out of the house on a day like that! BTW, Giant does this route (Pirangut-Mutha-Khadakwasla - aka Khadakwasla Parikrama) as a night ride a couple of times a year. Surreal experience!
@@TheIndianCyclist Haha even i had a puncture. After turning right from warje flyover. Luckily had a puncture shop open that early. But yea the ride was amazing. I loved the route especially after jarsheswar towards pirangut via muthua. Single road with lush green pastures on both sides. But the climb to pirangut was tiring especially that late into my ride haha.
Have you ridden up Jarsheshwar yet? What do you think the best cycling climb in Pune is? Thank you for watching one of this channel's early videos! For more cycling in Pune, please watch: ruclips.net/p/PLY4SAkTKw50AU2t7ZhLOhcX-FGvP8aAk4
Hi I just went there today after viewing ur video. Amazing journey from Bavdhan(28 kms), wonderful views and moderate climb. Worth my time and effort. Thanks 🙂
Tanay, so happy to hear you enjoyed the ride :) Thank you for coming back to comment here, not many do - I appreciate it! If you haven't seen the other climbing videos yet, do check out this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLY4SAkTKw50CBr3bJmsBK69GLFmgcSayR
@@TheIndianCyclist Ofcourse I will, infact I have seen a few. Also wanted to ask u if I can tag along some rides with u,want to go on group rides this year. Thanks
@@tanayrawat we can definitely ride together - please join the discord server here: discord.gg/HjRPGAE that's where I post my rides and you can find group rides with me or others in Pune.
:D There are now more than 100 people on the segment (there was a race there too) and we're still being allowed to ride up. Seems like the warning has worked!
You are inspiring lot of ppl to start cycling. Thanks! Great quality videos. I especially liked the voiceover. May I know which mic you use for voiceover?
Thank you for the kind words, Prasad - though, I hope they don't start cycling right now :'( For my voice-overs, I use a Blue Snowball with some additional settings you can find here: ruclips.net/video/S9vznpXS_so/видео.html
It's a lovely climb to be sure - but no match for Tilari Ghat in terms of difficulty. These days they keep shutting down access to cyclists for various reasons, if you can ride it, you definitely should!
It is a private road, but I don't think you'll have trouble getting permission to go up - you may need to ask at Splendour country a bit ahead if the guard asks you to do that. Apparently there are some trails coming down (and thus going up ...) but have not yet explored those. There isn't another tarred road up AFAIK.
The Indian Cyclist thanks for the reply. I and a friend on two motorcycles tried to get the permission but weren't granted since I had a camera bag with me. The guard at splendour country told that they do not allow cameras and hence didn't grant us the permission else they were OK to allow us if we didn't take the cameras along.
That's interesting - I had my action camera in full view when I asked for permission, but I admit that was what I was most concerned about as well. I think they told me I could take pictures of the temple but not of the properties going up, it's been so long ago, that I can't remember if that was a conversation I had elsewhere!
Just under 34 km, I started and ended pretty close to the dam. Exact route can be seen here: www.strava.com/activities/1842165807/ You might also be interested in watching this one: ruclips.net/video/lHsfGRsf2oQ/видео.html

Amazing! I am new to Pune and i am planning to try this out tomorrow. Found a nice loop from my home in Hinjewadi!

Thanks for video .Which app are you using ? Will you please share info on it .
Filmora for the primary editing, Garmin Virb Edit for the gauges on the descent section. Hope this helps!
Is it a private road? Is there any alternate route to the temple?
