- A short clip of the updated Xiegu X108G on 20 metres..The improvement on receive is far better as this video shows..And no preamp was needed either and the S meter appearsto be reading as it should be when this was recorded...
a nice HF radio
I had never seen this radio anywhere, only heard of the name. It looks almost like a predecessor of the G90.
Yes it is, a great little qrp rig, I have 3 of them still in my possession and do bring them out from time to time. Max power is 20 watts, I never ran more than 10 watts, it wasn't needed as you will see in all my X108G videos.
I am just about to buy one! 73 de OA4CKN
Dommage qu'en comparaison au 817 nous n'ayons pas le v et uhf... J'aurais upgradé ...
I search for a free one. Thank you.

I have one of those, it has a serious flaw in the display, they go bad after a while. I have had to replace mine and now the replacement has gone bad. Got to get a new one, again. ;-(
Hi Walter, that was the very first indoor X108G. Note the blue band on the VFO knob. This was an evaluation X108G back then.. 73de Wayne 2e0bvj
I have the outdoor version, but the current draw on rx is excessive..wish they would look at that.
Still a great little rig.

Hi Francis what is the difference between the indoor and outdoor X108G radios?
Have been thinking about getting one of these radios
Nice transceiver.
What auto antenna tuner would work with this radio and would you recommend this radio to a friend? I'm thinking of ordering one but not sure what auto tuner would work with it. Keep the videos going, enjoying them.
+Larrys LeatherWork .....Hi Larry sorry for the delay in responding to your meassage..... Would i recommend the X108G to a friend?? Yes with out a doubt i am that confident in it now..I would recommend the out door version as the display is far better for out door viewing...I have used a Elecraft T1 and vrious LDG tuners like the LDG Z100 or plus version @ also a LDG AT-100 Pro..I am planning on doing some more videos over the coming weeks so watch this space. Also check us out on the Xiegu X108 yahoo group too..Loads of information is posted on a regular bassis.. 73 de Wayne 2e0bvj
+QRP HF radio Sorry for the typos, i should proof read before i post..I did forget to add that you will never fail to get a contact with these Xiegu X108G's..As seen in one of my other videos that i worked Japan mobile with 15 watts only, i have worked numerous stations in the USA, also Brazil, the Canary islands, Canada Greece, Paraguay and loads into Europe, all with 15 watts into my prowhip delta loop that is around 16 feet above ground only..They truly are cracking little DX machines these..Trust me you will love the X108G, theyre smaller than an FT-817 width wise, a bit deeper and slightly longer from back to front...My deatails are on QRZ by the way under my call sign 2e0bvj.My email address is on their too if you want to email me direct..I can reply then within a few hours or sooner. 73 de Wayne 2e0bvj
I agree with Wayne 100%.
I use this rig in the forest in-spite of having both a KX3 and KX2.
I use several LDG tuners and just purchased a Elecraft T1.

i am running a MFJ Intellituner on this little tiny rig and it works awesome
That is succeed , is it an SDR Radio ?
Okay sorry means that looks nice "succeeds" sorry :) Nice radio for the half price of yaesu . I like SDR thinks much, that comes as Software devlooper automatical. And an real Ham operator cant accept sdr's :) I can feel that in the future replace the classical ocillator radios , they goes into history of electronics.
Or what means you ?
Karsten Schulz In the UK the word sucks (succs) means poor or very poor.. Obviously a misunderstanding in the translation...They really are excellent QRP rigs, the out door version with OLED display is even better... Because working DX was a breeze with the X108/X108G I run them as my day to day rig at between 5 to 15 watts depending on conditions..I have owned them for nearly 3 years now and they still amaze me with the results we get...If you have Facebook then pop over to the Xiegu X108G & X5105 Facebook group that I started almost 2 years ago now..Plenty of info on the X108G and the brand new Xiegu X5105 that I beta tested prior to its release...de Wayne 2e0bvj
Karsten Schulz I have removed my comments after your first post as it was a misunderstanding on your now edited message ;-)
thank you, yes fb i have, like this radio for portable actions :)
Karsten Schulz a lot of group members use them for just that, also SOTA operators..You will be happy with them for sure..Just note the display is different now on the out door X108G as seen in my other videos
Algún colega sabe como transmitir en 27mhz
Francisco Machin Mendez, sorry I don’t know to wideband them.

is it worth to buy it?
They are an excellent low power HF transceiver..
+QRP HF radio Thanks mate. Good for beginers i think. Where is best price to buy it ?
