I found it to be “common” and “middle of the road”. Nothing really jumped out here. Wayne was pretty good with the material given to him, but the writing was bland, and the pacing was rushed. It could have gotten past the pilot, but I don't see lasting more than a season.
Did they shoot other pilots for Flirt? Because the IMDB page has completely different names for the characters. Even Wayne Brady's character. But all the same actors.
Like so many of these pilots, this is filled with beatiful and talented people but is let down by the writing. One of the payoffs in this one is a young Al Madrigal with no glasses.
The introduction of Philip was unbelievable even for a tv show. Daniel gets a woman’s number and he brags about to a complete stranger who just happened to be his coworker’s boyfriend. These crazy scenarios happen on TV but even I think that was a bit of a stretch.
His chemistry with the female characters is really natural. I liked the plot twist with the boyfriend. Music needed some work. Feels like they were just trying to be hip and relevant lol. I liked the pilot overall though
I have mixed feelings about this. I do think Wayne Brady is spectacular in this role. And he carries the entire pilot. I think a great direction the first season would've been Daniel and Casey developing feelings for each other, and turn him into a changed man. I do like the concept of a man working for a woman's magazine. However, the pacing is off. The laugh track is out of place. The placeholder music is distracting and loud. Only half of the jokes land. I don't like Daniel's guy friends, or the female co-workers besides Casey. I would've re-cast all of them personally. The writing could be a bit stronger. And it also falls into the sitcom trope of bachelor living in a nice place that he clearly can't afford, and its never explained. That always kind of bothers me. Especially here, when they make several jokes about his low wage.
I like it alot !! ; good looking staffing / comedic timing/ clear speech/ nice layout/ solid & current data (on mating/dating). Perfect scene to pop in Luenell too.
Pitched during the CW UPN merger it was actually gonna go on UPN but once the talks of the merger came out they didn't even waste any time filming the second episode
First of all what was that OutKast song at the beginning? I watched this and thought I’d REALLY like to see where this was gonna go and like that it was DONE. It’s obvious this show was done with UPN in mind but like someone said, the CW merger probably got in the way. If Homeboys In Outer Space got on air, I don’t see why this couldn’t have made it a season.🤷🏾♂️
I cringed when that woman walked behind that gray column at 7:06. That's an acting no-no! Can't believe no one caught that. Even if she had to stretch the line out to walk around it, or they changed cameras like they did when others walked through it, you never put items between you and the camera...bad blocking! 😮
Wayne Brady hairline on this got me punching air
😂
fr!!!
You remember that infomercial for the spray on hair?
Bruh how anybody keep a straight face looking at his hairline 😅😂and not break character
Paul Mooney would roast that hairline to death. RIP Paul.
Rare Gems coming in clutch as always
Pretty solid pilot, but damn the 2000's really had a fetish for "Jerk With A Heart Of Gold" main characters 😂😂😂
Very talented cast. Tamala Jones is gorgeous and Guy Torry is a funny guy. This had potential.
Gorgeous is a way overused word to describe women. She's cute, a 6.5.
Reagan Gomez is so beautiful
Don't know what these executives were thinking, these could've been great shows

How do you come across these rare gems!!!!
Don't be nosey just enjoy
This is pretty seamless, if not formulaic. I would've watched this if it came out!
Brady’s hairline looks like a race map for need for speed🤣🤣🤣
5 mins in and I realized this is a 1:20 minute movie at best. Not a tv show series 😂😂😂
This was actually really good. Too bad it didn't make it to series. Thanks for posting.
🤣😭😂😭🤣 WHAT!!!!! Why they give Wayne a Chocolate MoonPie Edge'Up, DAMN!!!!!😳🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
reagan gomez just randomly in the pilot 😂😂
😂... I absolutely luv her as Roberta Tubs....
Not random, it's the 90s
This had potential .. I'm entertained
This was fun!!!

That’s very peculiar and intriguing!
This would have been upn but this must have been pitched around the cw merger they had no shot
Definitely had Rihanna playing I’m not sure if she was out pre cw merger days
@@quintezgatewood9943Rihanna's first album came out in 2005, so just before the CW premiered the following year.
Maybe for The WB
@@quintezgatewood9943It could be for The WB
Thanks ❤❤❤

whos finding all these damn unaried pilots, like where are they being taken from
I love this channel!
I did not know that Wayne Brady had his own sitcom
He didn’t, it never aired
As a barber I would break my tv trying to fix that monstrosity of a hairline.
They used to flirt.
I feel like this aired on UPN, and had promo.
I'm getting ABC vibes from this.

Wayne's hairline is allergic to his eyebrows!!! That bad boy is running for the border! 😮😂
TAMALA JONES ❤ #femalebrities
These are gems 💎
We need more Gregory Hines Show
4 fine ladies (I'm including Regan Gomez Preston)
Tamala is the eye candy here. 🥰
Post The Royal Family next time you bring back good short lived sitcoms 😊
Of all the shows that made it... this was not one. Shame...
Good show 😉

Was that Andre 3 Stacks rappin in the intro?😯
yup! it's Behold a Lady from Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
The only thing you notice when wayne Brady onscreen is his forehead/hairline. Look at something else in frame you will still notice it
I guess he asked for the Stephen A. Smith look.
This soundtrack 😊😊
This needed more time. I love Wayne Brady!!!!

Practically nobody in sitcoms should be able to afford the places they live in, except a couple like Good Times, Jeffersons
I like it alot !! ; good looking staffing / comedic timing/ clear speech/ nice layout/ solid & current data (on mating/dating). Perfect scene to pop in Luenell too.
was this supposed to be on UPN?
It would have worked there
Yep
yes or The WB
@@viewmaster617yes or The WB
Bree turners Kacey already my fav character wish the series would have been picked up see her on more adventures
This was a good pilot. I don’t get why it wasn’t picked up.
Should have been on The WB

Casey is adorable!
This show reminds me of Cutz
Dude's Hairline Need To Stop Talking Shyt!
It's Finna Piss Me Off!
Way before Wayne starting hosting CBS Let's Make A Deal.
Or whose line was it

Behold a lady is the song
There's at least 10 years between this show and Homeboys...viewing habits and likes change a lot in that time.
are you sure this unaired pilot wasn’t originally titled “The cornball?”
It should have been called “The Laugh Track”, because that's all you hear.
That intro is hilarious
This episode was pretty good...did it not get picked up
Knowin what we know now bout Wayne seein him try 2 b a player is craaaazy
you can def be a bisexual player...
I love it
What Year was this you think ?
06
@@YungSleepLackerI’d say 04 lol
This was probably 2006
Says 2006 in the description
The video description clearly say 2006, guys.
3:51 whats that song???
"Ah shit, it's Wayne Brady, son!"
It has legs to be a time killer. Wouldn’t mind it.
💜
The opening needed we working
Jezebel, sapphire, and mother
A few changes and this could've gone somewhere..
This could have been a good comedy if given the chance.
The WB could have had it if The CW didn't exist, yup The WB Friday night lineup 8:30/7:30c after What I Like About You.
This looks like the set from Wizards of Waverly Place
This was really funny. Shame they didn’t make more episodes
Mr Pansexual
Funny intro
The opening alone was bad... but solid pilot tho
It's ok but they should change the theme music
Wayne Brady looking like the og Robocop without his helmet visor. L
Or they moved the whole cast to another show.
WHOOOOOOOOO let this main leave the make-up chair and go on-set with that hairline?! His entire team needs to get fired!
I think this could of hotten greenlit if not for the rainbow hairline Brady had

😂Wow what happened to this show!!!!!????
It didn’t happen. It was a pilot that didnt get picked up.
@@iacobus4227Had the CW not existed, The WB would have picked this up no doubt
