Glad you enjoyed the video and the "bonus tip." The brush bristle trick works great, and it's super cheap. Thank you for your feedback; much appreciated!
Glad you like the idea. Cheap, and the bristle almost totally disappears when viewed from a couple of feet away. Hope the idea works for you as well as it did for me. Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice video. It was pleasant to watch! Thanks for the tip about the brush bristle. I like to put my siding slightly lower than the main tracks, so this may come in handy.
Thanks for your feedback. I didn't put my sidings lower than the main, but I like that arrangement on other layouts that I've seen. Good work. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Like everyone else, a new Willow Creek video is always a red letter day! Your production, session description, and great voiceover always make for an enjoyable visit. Re-watching your videos ranks right along side The Andy Griffith Show! Thank you for sharing your time, impressive talent, and detailed layout with the modeling community. You give me goals and inspiration for my dream layout.
Wow ... on par with Andy! That's great company! Glad you enjoyed the video. The "tiny people" of the Willow Creek Subdivision love to share their scale world. Thanks for your feedback; much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed the video. They are a lot of fun to produce and the "tiny people" of the Subdivision are always happy to share the Willow Creek with others! Thanks for your feedback; much appreciated!
Wow! Really appreciate the kind feedback. Glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully we can get the creative juices flowing to coming up with some additional ideas for future video ... fingers crossed. Thanks, again!
Always happy to provide ideas and inspiration. Also look for any problems or flaws you see with the Willow Creek so you can avoid them on your dream layout. None of our layouts are perfect, but they sure are fun! Thanks for your feedback!
@@Vigment13 What I find nice about the layout is how each area has a fair amount of operating interest, but not so much as to make it feel cramped/overdone. I love switching, but not to the point that its painful, so I'm taking notes on all the things I see. I don't see any "flaws" on the Willow Creek, but I do wonder if you have any track cleaning issues on all the tunnel/hidden tracks. Tunnels are great for scene transitions and all, but that's the one scenery aspect that I'm leary about implementing for that reason.
@@JoeyBPhotography There are indeed flaws; I just don't show them in the videos, or at least they aren't very obvious. :-) I don't have any problems with track cleaning in the tunnels. First, the train room is in a finished room, with excellent HVAC support. I run train regularly, which also helps keep the track clean. Also, all of the tunnels are accessible, especially the very long tunnel behind Bucky's Crossing (20+ feet). The back of the layout behind B.C. is about 15" from the wall and open in the back, so I can access it easily. You need to be able to grab a derailment in a tunnel, so use that same access mechanism to allow for cleaning. Also, the Woodland Scenics track cleaning kit includes a long handled cleaning device that makes it much easier to reach a foot or so inside a tunnel to clean it. Just some thoughts. Thanks again for your feedback!
My favorite layout uploaded a new video thus that means it is a great day. What views in this one! Also thank you for sharing the bristle trick- will def keep it in mind. So much new Willow Creek this year!
Thanks for your kind feedback! Much appreciated. The bristle trick was a lifesaver when I realized the minor slopes in the industrial tracks after the yard was finished. Ouch. Amazing what $1 can buy! Glad you enjoyed the video. High greens!
Once again a very enjoyable video. The operations and narration of Willow Creek make this layout one of my favorites to watch. I haven't checked your complete video lineup yet so, if my question has been covered already.. I didn't know yet.. Could you do a video on how you made and how you use your car card system. Thank you.. btw.. I've used that bristle trick also. It is great..hardly visible yet perfect for this situation.
Hooray for the bristle trick! Amazing how the bristles disappear once installed, especially on track that's maybe 24" away from you. The car card system is talked about in multiple videos but always from the standpoint of how operators use it during an op session. I started a video a long time ago that talked about implementing the system on the Willow Creek, but never finished it. I'll go back and resurrect that video plan and we'll see what happens. I've had other requests for it, so I guess it's time I get to work. Good suggestion. Hope you enjoy the other videos! Thanks, again, for your feedback.
I am planning on more videos, but I'm always looking for new topics/ideas to film. I don't like seeing repeats; need fresh ideas. Thanks for your feedback!
Excellent once again. Would like a video on how you create your time table schedule. How do you know how much time its going to take to do the switching etc.
Greetings, Friend! Good to hear from you. I'll send you a link to my OpSIG "The Dispatcher's Office" article that talks all about creating the schedule. Thanks for your feedback; much appreciated. High greens!
Yes, I enjoyed the video. Looking forward to more. Also do you have a video of you just showing the layout and a drawing of the layout as it is in the room, other than the in line version. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed the video. None of my videos have shown the actual track plan; perhaps a video that relates the track plan to the physical places on the layout might be a thought. For an intro to the Willow Creek, check out: ruclips.net/video/jRYh3h2SwC4/видео.html . And then for enhancements made after that video was filmed: ruclips.net/video/UqWjqxz9bjs/видео.html . Hope these 2 videos help. And let me know if you think a new layout tour video coordinated with the track diagram would be of interest. Thanks for your feedback and your interest in the Willow Creek!
It is amazing how great the video quality from the HO scale drone's camera is!
Isn't it! Those Tiny People of the Willow Creek Subdivision are crafty characters. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Another great operations video on a beautiful railroad. Thank you.
Glad you enjoy the video. And thanks for the kind feedback; much appreciated!
So many neat operating features, just like the class 1 railroads!
Glad you enjoyed the video and the many operating features of the Willow Creek. Thanks for your feedback; much appreciated!
Nice tip on the scrub brush. Very enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing. Dave

thank you for the super detailed video on your detailed layout operation

Love the bristle brake idea! I needed a solution like that - perfect!

superb idea with the brush...might have to use that on mine....cheers for the video....
Hope the nylon bristles work for you. And thanks for your feedback; much appreciated!
Highly entertaining! I will have to incorporate some of your ideas into my layout. Thanks for the detailed explanations.
