  • Thanks for growing with us!
In this video we are sharing how we prepare our hydrangeas and roses for winter. This is not a pruning tutorial...just deadheading and making sure our plants are safe from heavy ice and snow.
We start with the different types of hydrangeas. Panicle or paniculata. Mophead or arborescens. Bigleaf or macrophylla. Mountain or seratta. Oakleaf or quercifolia. Each type needed a slightly different approach and Eric explains each one.
After a very cinematic deadheading of our limelight head it is time to move on to the roses.
Although we prefer to do our main pruning in the Spring, we need to prepare the roses so that they aren't damaged over the winter.
