The lyrics and delivery is still some of the absolute best hardcore of all time. I know bands need to “grow” but this was such a diamond of a sound. His lyrics are crushing and the music is perfect. Makes me neck tingle still all these years later. Perfect hardcore.

Lol ceremony is amazing this album is beyond ideal / the definition of great hardcore music BUT it’s one of those albums where you can’t really talk about with other crews because anyone who’s anyone into hardcore thinks this album is overrated lol I don’t care what anyone thinks I’ll put it out anyway

I enjoy just making a playlist of Violence Violence, Still nothing moves you and Ruined and just let them run through and repeat. Great band. And sure the old stuff is great but the newer stuff is good shit.
I saw them and Naysayer at the downtown Seattle YMCA when this album came out. It was a floor show in an area they used as a classroom usually and i broke my tailbone getting shoved up against a whiteboard by a skinhead opening up the pit. Didnt even notice the pain until the show was done and i was still in pain. Totally worth it to have seen them at their prime.
And right after that they stopped soing shows there, they were worried a out tbe space getting destroyed and people getting hurt.
Old Ceremony is the only Ceremony. One of the best of all time.

Walking Home is probably my favorite one from this album.
I will never forget seeing these guys dodging fists while flailing my own fists. it was an extinct venue called the church off lorain ave in Cleveland ohio. straight edge venue but I was hammered as hell.
What happened to this? Is this the same vocalist from the recent album?? I'm new to this band and I'm totally confused at the huge difference.

when writing a review for this record, i wrote as follows:"one of the best and most violent records i ever even thought could be made. the atmosphere is so dark, bleak, and dismal, you need a chainsaw to cut through it. reminds me of a man at his breaking point in a dimly lit basement with a gun between his teeth."yeah, thats about right
Blink 182 sent me here. LOL My favourite part about this album is the Nicki Minaj cover 2/3rds of the way in. Mixes it up a bit.
