Had no idea Albini worked on this until yesterday. Listening back now, though, and it makes complete sense. If there was anyone capable of bringing the energy of their live shows into the studio, it was him. RIP to a legend.

Trash Talk albums are the definition of quality over quantity.
I kind of like that this isn’t on Spotify and I don’t own a physical copy of it. This is my favorite album by them that I haven’t completely run into the ground 😅 having to listen to it on RUclips makes it a nice surprise the couple times a year I come back to it.
Remember I found this in like a MySpace sidebar back in like 04. Got me onto xfilesx, outbreak and so on. None of the other albums quite did it for me, though.

Picked up an original copy of this on vinyl and it is quite something. Because it is such a short album and spaced out onto two sides of a 12" (they could have fit the entire thing on one side if they wanted to) the bass and dynamics are truly out of this world. All-analog goodness.

This album is a prime example of what Steve Albini believes an engineer should be. Record a band to the best of your ability, and stay out of the way of the rest. I bought an original pressing of this and it sounds truly insane.
Funny- the opposite of the peace sign is The Christian Cross.
