Wow! Y’all really brought us some awesome views in this action packed video. God’s creation is just so beautiful, Awesome, mind blowing which just keeps strengthening our faith in Him as our creator & king. I enjoyed this from start to finish & learned so much from you guys sharing y’all’s knowledge of those beautiful mountains. God bless y’all for what y’all do for US!! 😇🙏🏻😇🙏🏻❤️👍🏻
Great video!: I enjoyed it so much. I have been to Boone, Blowing Rock Grandfather Mountain and have driven over the Linville Viaduct. The views and colors are beautiful. What a wonderful Creator we have. The Creation reveals His Glory. The views of Grandfather Mountain with the red trees was gorgeous. Thanks for making and sharing it with us. I love the mountains so much.
Yes, those red maples on Grandfather Mountain, are amazing. We usually go up to that part of the mountains on the 3rd weekend in October, and we usually miss those maples as a result. But I'm glad we got to get them on video this year.
Thank you so much for this video! In May 2023 we traveled to the exact same places on the Blue Ridge Parkway. That was the tree blooming season and now you have shown us the beautiful fall season. We live in Huntsville AL and try to get to Western NC as much as possible.
Next weekend, we will be in the Northwestern corner of North Carolina, in a town called West Jefferson. We are hoping the leaves will be really nice when we get there.
Thank you so much for this video. I wanted to see the colors here, just couldn’t make up there. A tour of the farmers market, sounds like a great Saturday trip. Thank you!
@kathimeadows7869 Very sorry to hear that you didn't get to make it up there this year to see the leaves. But we are glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching and for commenting.
Gotta add this. Wow, we really love this video and so glad yall went back up after the clouds cleared. That was amazing. Some friends of ours keep telling us to go to that farmers' market. That place looks awesome. So when you said you met a subscriber and were going to put a pic in now, it went straight to an advertisement for us, and it popped up with the red-headed comedian lady. Now we knew that wasn't him. We've seen that add, but we laughed so hard, we almost had to pause the video for a break. And then the pic of the subscriber and family popped up, very nice family. Thanks again for sharing. We always enjoy your videos.
Beautiful!!! We did the blue ridge parkway this last week and it was amazing! You guys dont need to apologize for the length of the video, as we enjoy you taking us on your trips.
Thank you so much for those kind words. I appreciate the fact that you enjoyed the long video. I guess I was apologetic, because I know some people don't want to sit and watch something for that long, but there was just so much to include in this one.
@@NCMemoryMakers I wish I would have run into your videos before we left. Would've helped out quite a bit. Just got back on Sunday the 22nd from our road trip to the Parkway and I am reliving our visit with your video. So no, that 1 hour video was not long. It was just perfect!
We were just there this last week. We drove from Brownsville Texas just to see the fall colors. It was amazing. I had never seen anything like that. We left home on Friday the 13th, and sure enough we had a blow out when a truck lost a sofa in Houston and I couldn't avoid some of the debris. Ran over something with my rear tire and it popped it. Lucky I had road hazard. Either way, we made it to Townsend on Sunday. On Monday we drove across Parsons Branch Rd, then to Cherokee and entered the Parkway from there. Saw the snow and we were so excited with that. We could only stay through Thursday so we only made it to Fancy Gap. We managed to hike Linville Falls, Mount Mitchell, and Grandfather Mountain. Your saying peak colors haven't shown up yet and what we saw was amazing! Our area is either green or brown, so this trip was just amazing. Definitely going back, but starting the North end and driving south next time.
So glad you had a safe and enjoyable trip, except for the mishaps at the beginning. We are also glad you enjoyed this video and got to visit our beautiful are. I envy you, in that we didn't get to see the snow that fell on Sunday night and on Monday. But we will catch the next one! It would have been very beautiful to see that, blended with the Fall color.
Thank you for sharing this. We were going to try to make it the week before you went. But my dad passed and we had his funeral on the 13th. Very beautiful footage. We went to Mt Mitchell a couple years ago and it was beautiful. It was around Oct 2 and cold. The clouds you videod were beautiful, but they do get annoying when they block the views. Thanks again for sharing. It's like we did get to go and see the colors.
You are very welcome. We need to go back and do a video there when we actually have time to walk through it. We only live about 30 minutes from it, so that should be easy enough for us to do. It's actually been years since we've been there, though.
@NCMemoryMakers we used to go to Boone every year to help process boxes with Operation Christmas Child at the Samaritans Purse Headquarters in Boone. When we were down there over that time we always went to Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain and The Mast General Store in Valle Crues
Oh my hometown South Asheville. Thursday October 19 we went to Moose Cafe lunch very delicious. But plan go down WNC farmer market early closed. ☹️ next time go back farmer market. Enjoy your trip parkway and Asheville too. I’m surprise 😮
Thank you, folks, for the timely information. We are heading that direction on the 28th of October. I guess by then fall color will be in the valley only. BTW, what are the berries on Craggy Garden Overlook?
We were also wondering what the berries were. We are not sure. There will probably still be some lingering color left, but yes, it will be mostly in the valleys by then. Thanks for watching, and glad you enjoyed it!
The spot you are asking about at 29 minutes, is Price Lake. It's within the Julian Price Memorial Park area, between Blowing Rock and Linville. Closer to Blowing Rock.
Around here, they are pretty much on schedule this year and last year. The two years prior to that, they were late, because the weather in October was warmer. I agree with you, that the colors are very nice this year. We saw some very vibrant color today. I hopefully will have that video up by Monday.
So we were watching this video and swapped over to our smart TV for a big screen. I thought yall only used your phone. Would love to know more about your camcorder and mics yall use. We really enjoyed this video. We just drove the first day route back in June when we went to blowing rock. Thanks again for sharing
About the only time we use our phone for a RUclips video, is a restaurant review, because it's easier to take inside. We also use it for livestreams. Beyond that, we use a Sony ZV-1, which shoots in 4k quality. We just recently purchased another Sony camcorder, which is an AX-43. We used it today for the first time. But 98% of what you see on our channel, is shot with the Sony ZV-1.
As for microphones, we've never used microphones until this very video that you are watching. And that was only for the segment where we talked to the top of the pinnacle. We were not impressed with the sound quality of the microphones. We have not decided what we're going to do with them yet.
Thanks for sharing this and sharing your efforts of editing and picking wonderful peaceful music for the videos you do. Have you been to Wise Overlook that has a beautiful panoramic view of Linville Gorge? Sincerely, Sharon and Family😊
If you are referring to Wiseman Overlook, we have not yet been there. We actually were going to do that last summer, but ended up hiking up Table Rock instead. Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.

@@veronicaalta9462 If you are talking about last year's video, I was probably talking about Rough Ridge. It is very small, and only 2 people at a time can get on it. It is fairly easy to find, but you would have to know where to look.

What is the name of the Farmers market?
@jodypugh3366 I think it's called the WNC (Western North Carolina) Farmers Market. It is off Exit 47, in Asheville.
