That looks incredible! I’d like to attempt to make one, my question is does the body have feet that slide inside shoes or do the shoes just attach to nubs
I think the shoes that came with the suit set were plug in type shoes, but I ended up using nicer looking ones that worked like real shoes where you had to slide the feet into them.
Hi there, shot in the dark as the video is 10 years old but I don't suppose you remember the name of the website where you got the glasses? I have the same head sculpt and I've been looking for a decent pair of glasses for about a year and your are the only ones I've seen that work. Not to worry if you don't, great figure, beautiful job
Oh man, sorry... Like you mentioned, it was about 10 years ago. I just remember searching through ebay and other websites until I found something that just seemed suitable enough to work. Hopefully you can find something too!
@@asianhorrorI just remember they're like metal die cut type glasses that came flat and you have to bend the arms back. I don't recall if it came alone or as a set. Definitely sturdier than plastic 1/6 glasses though there are no lenses.
Wow! Made this video way back in 2014, so I don't remember anymore what body I used. I guessing just a normal narrow shoulder body? I don't have the figure near me to check, so apologies for that. Right now he's overseas in the Philippines in storage somewhere and hopefully still okay? Thanks for being a long time follower and commenting! ;)
Nothing special with this figure, but folks have been asking me about it and I thought I'd finally talk about him since he looks to be pretty much complete to my liking now. I just need the briefcase/ bag for him to round him off and maybe a hat someday.
Question Marlo. That sculpt, I bought one of those on eBay. My issue with it is the paint. While in the pictures it looked good, in person it has an unusual shine and is a little 'browner' than normal skin color. Do you have the issue as well?
Did this video about about 5 years ago now, but glad to know it's still out there being viewed and helping other collectors and fans to build their own custom Clark Kent figure! Thanks for watching!
It's fun having alternate versions of favorite characters, especially alter egos like this Clark Kent to go along with the great Superman figure that HT produced! I'm just glad he came out nicely the way he did.
Great job Kent looks fantastic and the change to a wire frame very good addition. I agree the glasses that it comes with isn't as good as it could be. Thank you for the shout out bro very kind of you. Your always a Gentleman and a friend.
Of course I had to give you a shout out on this one! Couldn't have been done without your inspiration. Just added the link to your channel as I had some trouble with my computer last night. As always, hope you're doing well and love your continued passion for this hobby!
Awesome custom! I have this head sculpt as well and notice the same problem with the short neck. May I know where you get the glasses? It matches the head sculpt better than the one it comes with!
I got the glasses from a set of etch doll glasses that came in a sheet. They are a thin metal etched sheet with the glasses cut out with different frame sizes. I don't remember where I got it, but I think it was a japanese hobby website like hobbylink japan or amiami a couple years ago.
Hi.Great job on the custom figure. Can you let me know what type or kind of body did you use for this Clark Kent custom figure? Just want to know so I can see which suit to use.Thank you.
I've just recently been fortunate enough to get a Christopher Reeve Superman. I had to buy mine piece by piece on line. I'm hoping you may know , can the shorts and belt go on without having to undo the belt ? I'm not wanting to mess it up and was hoping someone could let me know before I attempt putting on the clothes. If you see this , please let me know if you know yourself. Thank you.
I think he came out looking pretty good! Quite happy with the sculpt and outfit and the whole thing didn't cost too much to make which is always a plus!
It's actually on a TTM18 narrow shoulder knock off body that you can find on ebay for under $25. There is a newer version with a neck molded on the body which might work better, but mine in the video is still on the regular old type with separate neck joint. The head rests a bit low on it, so I didn't pop it all the way down. For this reason either a longer neck joint would work best or perhaps that other body with the molded on neck. I think the muscular bodies might be too bulky, especially with all the layers of the suit.
I did finish him for now and have since put him away. I need to revisit him as I never liked the hat I got for him. Here is a video with him, but I have since changed the hat to something a little better, but still not quite what I am happy with. ruclips.net/video/DSd8syvZ8Mg/видео.html
Hi there again, I have put mine together n u are right the glasses are too bulky looking does not look the best, any chance u remember the site u got the new glasses from, they look much better
I don't remember exactly anymore, but I did a quick search at HobbyLinkJapan and found something. I don't recall if this is he exact same one as I can't find my set right now, but it was made by Kotobukiya also. Here's a link that I hope will help: www.hlj.com/product/KBYE-101B/Dol
great job on this dude. he looks great and the suit that you used I'm going to use for my mads mikkelsen Hannibal kit bash but the suit pattern is different than this and its more accurate so got that to look forward to take care and enjoy collecting.
The suit set is pretty cool and I like the fit on him for the most part. The collar on the shirt is still a tad on the large side, but I guess it has that 80s look to it which suits this figure just fine. Good luck with your project! :)
Aha! I was thinking it was you, but I can never really remember! Sorry for not shouting you out, but as promised, I did get around to it eventually! I hope you can put one together yourself. The glasses are important to swap out, so I hope you can track down something similar. They're ment for dolls or similar figures and come in various shapes and sizes flat in a frame. You have to cut it out at the ends and bend the arms of the glasses back. Anyways, the glasses really need to be changed from what you get with this sculpt.
Awesome CK kitbash, Marlo :) I might do one myself at some point, but at the moment I have a few other customs in the works. Its hard to find stuff thats spot on at times though :P Just have to keep on searching and hope for the best LOL! Thanks for sharing this video, and I hope you feel better very soon ;)
Feeling better, but just can't shake this cough now. When I was sick a couple weeks ago, I was stuck in bed for my few days off before Famcon and having to go back to work. Anyways, this CK project wasn't too expensive and the parts to make him were luckily not too hard to find.
everythingisaprocess Glad this video served as some inspiration for you and others! That's what I enjoy most out of doing these videos. I like giving others ideas to do custom figures of their own! :)
Nice.~I like hot toys figure, too!I like both Superman comics and movies. But,Superman4 and Superman returns are..... Marlo! What's your favorite Superman movie?
No doubt you did fantastic work on this one, there's big superman fans that will have a hard time, wishing they owned this outstanding figure, i have the superman logo and the batman logo on the leg calf, and get more compliments on superman one, i think you also like rock band kiss? well i have a nice collection, maybe some day a video?? get well from your cold,, peace.
Kiss is awesome and I loved them growing up! I dressed as Gene Simmons one Halloween! I'm sure I looked silly, but I wish I had pics of that time! You definitely should share your collection someday! I'd love the see what you have as I'm sure it's amazing! I only have a few random items ranging from McFarlane toys, signed photos, to the signed Kisstory book which is amazing!
Awesome. I have that same headsculpt. The original glasses are horrible. There's an eBay seller named jenbrobbb that can make you a 1:6 scale daily planet newspaper for just a couple of bucks.
The head sculpt is more accurate than the HOT TOYS.
That looks incredible! I’d like to attempt to make one, my question is does the body have feet that slide inside shoes or do the shoes just attach to nubs

Right on, thank u my friend!
I think this looks fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm inspired to do the same!
Where can I buy that head I really wanna make a Christopher Reeve Clark Kent

This is just amazing, looks so great! thumbs up
Awesome! Thanks for viewing and so glad you like how he turned out as I certainly am pleased myself! :)

That Custom Clark Kent is really terrific. You did a great job putting it all together.
Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear that as I'm also happy with how he turned out, especially as it wasn't too expensive to do. :)
Great figure set up. Can you tell us the name of the shop where you got the glasses from. I'd appreciate it.
What body did you use?
Looks very nice
Thank you thank you! :)
Looks very cool Marlo ,love the comb over ,good old Carlos ...!! Cheers for showing us...
