I recently read a list of Gwyneth's 25 most pretentious quotes and they really shocking and show a pattern of arrogance. Perhaps it goes along with being a celebrity but how do you deal with her "Stupid Americans" comment. And her extra marital affairs. I think she is a good actress and still beautiful, but her beauty is fading and her nice girl onscreen persona is just an act. I know a number of people who refuse to see any Gwyneth movie, but I would still see this movie because I am a Johnny Depp and Ewan McGregor fan. Mortdecai with its story line involving a stolen painting and nazi treasure actually sounds like an episode of the "WHITE COLLAR" television show--(I love that show). I hope I am not wasting my time and money going to see it.
I pretty much agree with you I guess. I would not avoid a hit movie she happens to be in but I would not go to any movie just to see her. Other great actors are worth watching even if the movie is small, independent or just not great in the usual sense. The problem with Gwyneth is that she didn't slip and make one gaff. She is consistently snotty and anti-American. This means it is no accident and she will never change.
