      It's all subjective but personally I think the Widow headstock works on the Warlock and Beast as it sorta resembles the body shape.
      For the love of METAL why they inflicted the widow on the Jr V and Assassin...?

    Very cool! The first guitar I ever saw as a kid in the 80’s was a pink Warlock a kid brought to school, then I saw Blackie Lawless play one and I was in awe. Had to have one! It took the better part of 35 years but I finally got one. Mine is a Prophecy II series in black. It is gorgeous and feels, plays and sounds much better than I expected (these guitars are wildly inconstant in aesthetics, quality and availability). I found mine on eBay 11/22. It arrived in pristine condition. Neck-thru, ebony fingerboard w/o inlays, pointed headstock in downward position (a must for me), EMG active pickups and hard tail bridge. Unseen in the online photos is a carbon fiber-like binding all the way around that is subtle but beautiful. For my first Warlock and after waiting for so long to find one it surpassed my meager expectations. Let’s face it, B.C. Rich has very spotty distribution and production. So I was beyond pleased when I received my instrument. I play it thru a Marshall JMP 2203, JCM2000, Mesa Triple Rectifier, and ENGL Savage 120 MkII. It sounds epic, and looks the part too!

    I'm glad to hear someone comment on the Widow Head stock. I build these for friends and you are exactly right. I always ask them...Cocktail Fork or a real head stock? I mean honestly it has to be a win. You can kill small game, shrimp, spearfish, and play massive riffs on the Widow. Plus if you have a Shrimp Cocktail you can be En Vogue and show great manners by using the Cocktail Fork! Its a win all round!! LOL!!!

      This is going to sound pretentious as shit, but I think it's a psychological thing where once we started seeing them on literally ALL of the cheap Warlocks and every teenage guitarist in a cut-off Slayer or Slipknot shirt was playing them in his garage band, we got over them in a big hurry. We weren't noticing when dudes like Kerry King, Mick Thompson, or Steve Smyth were playing them...we were noticing when Cletus from down the road was playing them through a Crate "My First Guitar Stack" (GX1200) opening for every local show and ending every set with "Walk." That last sentence, I'm not laughing at them, I'm laughing with them...I had both the Warlock and the GX1200...:(

    Hey Arnold I was wondering if you could get your hands on the new 2020 Charvel So Cal style 2 for a review. No ones done a review yet. I've always had metal guitars with EMG's and what not and I was looking at something with a little more diversity to play some other styles of music. It's been completely revamped with a 24 fret neck and Fishman Fluence open core pick ups that can be switched to a pushed voicing and also switched to a more classic paf humbucker tone, as well as single coil taps on both. I'm sure you have some experience with Fishman pick ups. I was just hoping with that much variety in pick up selection it would be decent for a wide range of styles. I still have my crazy heavy tone metal guitar which I'll never sell, but was hoping to see if these Fishman on this Charvel could go heavy as well as get some good single coil clean sounds. Like I said no one has a vid on these new models so would be great if you could get one and put it through it's paces. Keep up the good work man.
    P.S I had a B.C rich Jr. V with a beast head stock on it, which is kind of like 2 horns V'n out. It was a small model run, and as much as I love the reverse headstock this thing looked metal as fuck and pretty uniquie.

    I bought a new Korean Warlock ProX few years ago and it looks and sounds is awsome, it has sustain for days. After deciding I wanted a Warlock in a sea of models as soon as I clicked on the ProX I had to have it. Plus still being a 20 year beginner it's the easiest guitar to play I've ever held and never realized how much easier it is to learn if a guitars neck is the right profile, I had a $100 Washburn years ago and I thought it just was me struggling and after the BC Rich I realized the Washburn had an awful big baseball bat neck profile I had hard time reaching frets and Im over 6' so have not huge but pretty decent sized hands and the neck was actually holding me back, the ProX feels so naturally comfortable and made learning easier because my hand wasn't struggling to reach cords. There awsome guitars I don't know why there not used more by professional musicians, even if some don't like there wild shapes there's the super strat style Gunslinger....but guess there not made anymore but mocking birds shape is beautiful but isn't to crazy looking

    What tuning are you using with the Purple springs?

      I have Ernie Ball Mammoth Slinkies on here and it's tuned to B standard.

    • @Tkuhn89
      @Tkuhn89 4 года назад

      @@ArnoldPlaysGuitar Nice! Do you feel like the tuning stability is better with the purple springs? Whats the flutter like? Is the perceived pressure to push the bar down hard? I have Floyd that I'm tuning to A standard, strung with a Ernie Ball Baritone set, using a combo of the (2) red and (2) yellow springs from Adam. But I have set of purples as well I was contemplating throwing on because it tends to go slightly sharp on the lower frets/strings.

    • @ArnoldPlaysGuitar
      @ArnoldPlaysGuitar  4 года назад

      The reason why I went with the purple springs is because when I had a couple of Ibanez models several years back that had a ZR trem, I really liked the LACK of movement on the flutters. I also like a lot of resistance when I'm doing divebombs, squeals, and whatever. That's really the reason why I went with the purples, is because they are high tension.

    • @Tkuhn89
      @Tkuhn89 4 года назад

      @@ArnoldPlaysGuitar Makes sense! I definitely think that's the way to go when tuning that low and playing death metal - Especially if you're heavy handed when picking. Did you notice a much of the difference in feel/tuning stability upgrading the other hardware (locking nut screws / saddle screw upgrades). Also, your EP is killer dude.

  • @nisoldi
    @nisoldi 4 года назад

    I've wanted one of these for a really long time now. However there is a huge consistency issue with these. I have seen some with legit ebony fretboards, and some with the jankiest rosewood boards you've ever seen in your life. I think depending upon when they were manufactured you have either ebony or rosewood. I want one with ebony, obviously, but can't find one. I would kill for this new rebooted BC rich to bring this thing back.
