The whole album is a masterpiece. I want Phinehas to finaly get the recognition they deserve.

I was there when Phinehas was coming up! I went to college with the guys. They'd play behind dorms, and at local churches. I even interviewed them for our college newspaper! It's cool to see how far they've come since the good 'ol days :)
same bud, saw them with like 5 other people at Lee's local church here in Arroyo Grande. They were friends of friends and so glad I got introduced. Some of the nicest guys I ever met.
this video alone confirms two things in my mind.
1. Phinehas have an album of the year contender right here.
2. Meeting the members of Jinjer would be amazing, they all seem like great people to have a chat with.
No joke, Eugene had finished playing a full set less than 40 minutes before he joined Nik for the stream, and somehow had more energy than Nik! He's such a great person

This may have been said here already, forgive me if that’s the case. If you pay close attention at around the 2:27 mark in the track (2:35 in this actual video), you can hear some faint vocals in the background while the riff from the beginning of the song is playing again. Those vocals are actually the pre chorus from their track “Crowns”, which was ALLLLL the way back on their first album. Never heard of any band doing anything like that, I think it’s cool as hell.
Crown the empire had callbacks in Johnny's rebellion to the previous 2 parts to the song off of their previous albums. I for one thought it was cool
I saw them live in Dec 2022 and they played Crowns and then Thorn immediately after. They announced it as Crowns part two.

The perfect album! Every track is awesome - Vocals, riffs, solos and breakdowns - everything is top notch! 10\10
Reminded me more As I Lay Dying and August Burns Red.
To me it reminds me a lot of a combination of AILD and All That Remains but the singing style is insanely similar to Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills

Jinjerbass point on "templates" was so spot on, I am so tired of the metal community going insane when a band does not go 100% in every melody and note there are some wicked "stereotypical" structures that will be sick and still provide room for uniquely creative takes.
Eugene seems like such a cool dude. Maybe have him on some other time again?
This album is incredible. It was my favorite album of the year. Not a song to skip. Absolute fire 🔥 also the new Becoming The Archetype is incredible. My favorite album of this year so far.
