So true. I had a good friend with Down Syndrom and whenever I was sad or down she would cheer me up. She even told me bbn they should change the name to Up Syndrome! We lost her a few years ago and miss her so much!

I cracked up at Gabe mocking Nick & the laughing at his sister getting Nick to twirl her hair. Gabe is so spoiled by his brother but who wouldn’t want to spoil someone as special as Gabe. It’s called ❤❤❤❤❤. Love watching them.

Happy Downs Syndrome Awareness Day. I loved how Gabe was imitating Nick at the restaurant. The first time we had lunch with my son’s future in-laws their son (who also has Down’s) was imitating my other son who talks with a lot of hand gestures. We loved it. ❤ Happy Day to Nicky and Brian ❤

Gabe is so handsome, sweet, funny and loving, he's a precious man and I just love him to pieces. I love his laughter. I love Gabe for everything he is and more. He brightens up my day. He's a wonderful gift from God. He's a true Blessing and he has a wonderful family that loves him more than he will ever know. I love how Kira, and Nick are so close to him, his parents are absolutely fabulous. I have worked with people that have downs and all they want is to show you love, they're the most loving and compassionate people. They always brighten up my days as well 💙💙💙💙💙

I absolutely love you guys 🥰 I grew up loving lots of action which was scarce cause I was an only child. Now as I watch your family I can really see all the fun I missed out on. That Gabe, he always has a plan, always. He doesn't say anything about it till the plan comes together, but when it does, you know he took time to think about everything. Then comes the evil laugh and his huge smile. I could just hug the stuffing out of him. I can tell how much he loves music, and how well he can dance. He has a lot of talent that he thoroughly enjoys. You keep trucking Gabe, you are just what this world needs right now. Total love. 😘

Starting about 1956, when I was in first through second grade, we lived next door to a family who had twin boys in their mid teens. One twin, William, was briliant. The other twin, Wiley, had Downs and was blind. I would be his guide around the neighborhood. He'd have his arm bent to hold an invisible basket holding invisible apples. I'd step back while he knocked on doors to sell his "apples" for 5¢ each. The people who answered pretended to look over the apples to pick one. One day I asked why he didn't charge 10¢ per apple. He was smarter than people gave him credit for being. He said "I make about a dollar a day selling pretend apples. People play along and give me nickels. If I charged 10¢ they'd quit giving me money." Eventually someone mentioned Wiley's apple sales to his dad and he made him stop. We'd be sitting outside while I read stories to him and neighbors would call to him asking him where his apples were. He told them "My basket broke so I have nothing to carry apples in now.". One sweet lady tried to give him a real basket for his apples. He thanked her and told he he was retired now. I was sad for him. He was very friendly and enjoyed seeing the neighbors as much as getting the nickels. He became more isolated. I missed him when we moved away. He was sweet and loving.
