Down’s Syndrome people no matter what age are sooo stubborn! I had a brother we just lost May 9th. He was going to be 63 on July 31st. I miss him! He went through different stages in life. Puberty was hardest. He could be so loving yet so dang mean at the same time. He lived at home all his life with my parents until they passed away. First dad, then mom in 2021. Then my husband and I took care of him until he died. I watch these videos because my heart will always be missing my brother. Gabe, God has a special place for your parents and you and your siblings. You and your family give me a peace and joy!! Keep being you!! Much love!
Gabe is ornery in the morning. 🙂 I never noticed that he had hearing aids before. He makes a bed better than I do.
Haha yes he can definitely be a prankster with dad, it’s so funny and you can see that “sinister” smile 😂🥰💙 all a part of the morning with dad! And yes Gabe has some hearing loss. The bands help to keep it steady for him throughout the day

I do not think that a lot of people are aware that having a routine and certain foods are what Gabe needs(actually this goes for all children and adults alike) to be able to start his day.
Dad I take my hat off to you for the way that you guided Gabe with what he had to do.
The way that you kept your voice on an even keel and even strength without any annoyance or impatience is be admired. I realise that you have had Gabe's whole life time to help you and him but still after this long it is to be admired and commended.
More power to you and your family for the love and commitment to making your own and Gabe's life as 'normal' as possible.

Dad you are super, and watching you with Gabe makes us realize how we Should be with each other. Thank you for the reminder. By the by Gabe tries all kinds of ways to get around you, sly as a fox. Sharp as a tack, imagine a kiddo trying to manipulate their Dad I think it’s built in. I am glad fruit punch and other yogurt was left to later or he’ll really be running the homestead. Good job Dad we all need big or small rules, makes life structured and rewarding I try everyday. Go have a cup of coffee or some pancakes…….Happy Day🥰

People with disabilities are here for a reason. They have the purpose of teaching us what really matters in life, the keys to life itself.

I love how when he wanted the fruit juice instead of apple🍎or orange 🍊 he put the fruit juice he wanted on the table first!! He's definitely smarter than he leads us to believe!! Thank You for sharing your lives with us!
I wish my siblings got along as much as you 2 do! Since my parents have both passed away my oldest sister had my Dad sign power of attorney over to her! She took everything said she donated everything to the Salvation army which is a lie! She took everything and gave it to her daughters! And now my brother doesn't talk to anyone! And I've been on medication for over 30 years because I suffer from depression, anxiety and Bi-Polar my Mom & Dad were the only ones that could make me happy! Since 2019 when my Dad passed away I've been more depressed than ever in my life!
Depressing and anxiety are very common now. I suggest you find a therapist you're happy with and get counseling. I am. Also, walking helps with depression. I'm so sorry you're as unhappy as you are.
Great to see that even though Gabe wants one thing you are able to redirect him in a positive loving way. Gabe is not a morning person but does get there...
Gabe is just like every other little boy ive met! I know physically, he is 20 but he is such a love! I absolutly adored his arguing over juice flavours lol. BTW Gaby is light years ahead of 90% of the rest of the world. He shut off the water whilst brushing his teeth. Good job Gaby!
I like how you are letting him be self sufficient with a little help. I enjoy seeing how he can be crabby in the morning since we only see him and Nick together aftwr school/work! He's is like all the kids only wanting his iPad!

Gabe did an awesome job getting ready. Do you think he can come to my house and show & teach my neurotypical 16 yr old son to do the hygiene things? Gabe does a nice job brushing teeth, washing his face and brushing his hair! My son still struggles. It’s nice to see that Gabe gives you a hard time. 😂 love the Safier family ❤!

This brings so many memories of guiding my daughter when she got ready in the mornings among many other things. She has had so many health issues her entire life but she still manages to keep such a sweet spirit and joyfulness. It is so important to be patient and loving. Gabe is so adorable. I love how he wants Dad to put his sneakers on and Dad waits him out. We work hard to foster as much independence as they can master.
When camera man says: Gabe is usually helping out in The kitchen. That made me want to see a baking video from start to finish with Gabe. Boundaries Is there to be conquered
I have seen this before but I had not realized before that how smart you all were by not doing these tasks for Gabe. He is so far ahead in life because of this. Well done Safier Universe.

We are seeing a new side of Gabe-- the rebel!! I can't fathom the amount of patience required by Dad to achieve just the basic daily rituals. You are amazing!! So much love ❤️!
I have two siblings (adopted) that have special needs (one with down syndrome and the other with both down syndrome and autism). Gabe reminds me of them! He's like a mix of their personalities and he reminds me of them whenever I watch your videos. You treat him so well, exactly what I would hope to see with any family with a special needs member.
Never knew Gabe had hearing aids. He’s sure is stubborn in the morning lol. When he halfway put his shoe on , put foot on table & leaned back as if to say I’m done, I busted out laughing. That boy is a mess. 😂😂😂He was bound & determined he was going to get fruit punch & u were bound & determined apple. U won that battle. You r such a good Dad & sooo patient ❤❤❤❤the family.

I love special needs people. I grew with a boy, my best friend who had rheumatic fever as a child. He was very slow and I learned so much from our friendship. So many things He taught me. I have great story of when I worked at a fast food place. I always wanted to with special kids but it wasn't in the cards. Gabe makes me smile❤🤗

I hope Gabe gets to make some decisions that we allow for ourselves, like what juice to have even if it's not the best choice. We all indulge ourselves and give in to temptation now and then.
Gabe has independent thought, knows what he likes, and is grumpy in the morning like most of us. 😂
As long as you have love that’s all you really need and this family has a lot of love to Give Gabe and more! Gabe was blessed to have you all as his family. I love Gabe so much . Most people associate soulmates to couples, but here is evidence of soulmate families.
All the bids I recently began watching, taught me that Gabe is the perfect example of unconditional love. Too many siblings are divided by ridiculously petty issues and or material things. We complicate things. Here we are able to glean the innocences of love and that is just beautiful ❤

Thank you for sharing the reality of your morning routine with Gabe, the incredible love and patience needed is there for all to see. Because of the nature of Gabe's disability it must from time to time be incredibly frustrating for Gabe, to feel trapped inside a body that sometimes he feels he has no control over. Equally for you his mum and dad, his brother Nick and his sister Kira it must feel like it's unfair to see Gabe suffering, yet at the same time understand that it's an unfortunate part of his disability, hence why you strive so hard to show him love at every available opportunity. 😆He's so sly for some fruit punch!! If I'm on the phone, holding a camera or answering the door...my kiddo tries so hard to break all the rules assuming I will give in. After a few years, she still tries!! I really love how you all take the high road by showing Gabe and assure it is always done thinking of his feelings!! Who could not love you guys!!? Oh and the "coffee?" made my night Gabe!! Great job as always guys!!

I am so happy to discover your channel. I have an angel just like Gabe for a nephew. Since he was born, his mom has told me I am either number one or two on his list of favorite people, depending on if he is upset with his dad. All I know is that he lights up my life and there is no one I would rather hang with. In just a few months, my wife and I will be building a home right next to theirs. One reason is to help with him. Your channel is giving me some ideas and how to get him to interact more. Thank you.

Gabe puts me in mind of my brother. I took care of him when my mom went to work or on a trip. I Loved him so much. I taught him how to dress and talk. Mom was mad but I didn’t care. My husband and I took him to restaurants and on vacation with us.
I love watching you all as a family ...you are the most caring and loving family towards Gabe and a pleasure to watch, I love the fact you teach and get Gabe to do so much for himself and he does a lot without any complaints or hesitation, he's a wonderful young man 🙏🙏💖
The balance of you giving praise but encouraging Gabe to do what he can for himself and being loving but firm is a perfect examples for us all to follow. I have an able-bodied 21 year old at home who could learn a lot from Gabe.

I cried when I watched this video because of how great Gabe is and the inspiration that he gives out to everyone. I have an Autistic son and while he was growing up he gave everything a good go.
