    Heavily relate to the feeling of *knowing* all the things to do/ how to do it… but still being so unsafe and unhappy in my body that nothing clicks. This video resonated and im going to try adding mind body connection AND acceptance.

    You're so insightful. I definitely agree that the mind is connected to the body because if the mind is a mess the body will follow suit. I struggle with body image issues. It has gotten a little better but it is still such a stuggle. I'm always comparing myself to every woman and picking apart for what I deem to be my physical flaws. My question to you is how long has this process taken you? I know it is a life-long journey but you are in such a good place. I wish I had your thinking and self-awareness. I'm going to look into those books you mentioned. Thank you for posting this video. I needed to hear your wisdom ❤

    • @Chrisspy
      @Chrisspy  3 дня назад +1

      Self acceptance is such a process, it’s hard to put a timeline on it. But it begins the moment you start to allow. Holding yourself with love and compassion actually enables you to act. For me, I just took it day by day, and I started to watch my life transform, but interestingly, I wasn’t so attached to the outcome anymore, especially for my weight. My whole journey began in 2021, but we are all so unique and have different things to work through, so just remember you’re on your own timeline, and right where you’re meant to be. 💙

    Getting your mind right is so important for making a shift in health. Im struggling to get myself back on track for this reason. Spiritually I'm great. I make time for spiritual practices daily, I'm just having a hard time forming new healthy eating habits & breaking old unhealthy ones. Could you film some 'what I eat in a day' videos? Or like a 'day in the life of Chrisspy: mind, body & soul health' ?

    • @Chrisspy
      @Chrisspy  4 дня назад +1

      Yes! I’m definitely planning on doing food videos because I love to eat and I love to cook 👩‍🍳 I talk more about habit building in my 75lb and 90lb weight loss vids, there are some great hacks! Basically just setting very small easy to achieve goals while focusing on consistency over anything else. 🙌

    I know it’s non of my business, but I know “binge eating” is considered an Eating Disorder… did it ever go further for you?
    I’ve literally had “mia” since I was 13 and I am now 39 😖
    I always wondered how other people dealt with it when it comes to the gym. I remember once I passed out at the gym and that’s when I knew I couldn’t purge my food and workout. So guess what I did instead? I started working out 2x a day 6-7 days a week! It’s always one extreme or another with me!
    I just don’t ever see myself stopping any extremes. And I want to. Yea, I should see a therapist. Yes, I should talk to a psychiatrist. I’m doing most of those.
    I know I can meditate on it, too.
    That’s another issue… I’ll go weeks on end meditating EVERY SINGLE DAY, and then? I won’t for like a month or two. How do you stay consistent?
    Thanks for the video btw! You definitely motivate me ❤

    • @Chrisspy
      @Chrisspy  3 дня назад +1

      I have a hard time staying consistent with meditating too but when I’m just starting again I’ll do short meditations, sometimes just 2 minute meditations in the mornings. I never thought I would break free of the extremes but it IS possible! The radical acceptance piece is huge, and you don’t need a professional to start those practices. I think that’s a good place to start. Go at your own pace, try not to be too hard on yourself. Healing is process that happens at its own pace which we have to allow. You got this 💙🙏

    • @Chrisspy
      @Chrisspy  4 дня назад +10

      Yes, I was definitely doing it wrong and treating it as a crash diet. Just eating ultra processed low carb foods with the sole intention of trying to lose weight. I wasn't knocking Atkins, I was more so critiquing that at 17 I thought I needed to diet and lose weight. 💙

      Doesn't work for everyone. Especially people with an ED. Anyone who has been a yo-yo dieter has tried it and more than likely, they did it "correctly."
