You're always so respectful of these houses. I'm glad the owner understood that you meant no harm. It is a shame that people keep pulling them down in order to rebuild, instead of restoring the origional. Btw- I think it's actually better to do the intro clip from home, after the house tour. It gives you a chance to chat more indepth and give us a summary of what you saw/thought.
That yellow color was called harvest gold. All the earth tone colors of the 1970s had names like that. Yeah, I had an avocado green fridge, I'm that old. Great video, as usual, thanks!
Was dark brown after the avocado and the harvest gold? When did that come in? It didnt last long,i dont think! I just lived the gold: had lots of new appliances then!
Its all part of the experience on filming .Things happen ., i am glad the guy was cool about it plus it was awesome you met the person who built the house 🏡 🏡 Ethan all your viewers appreciate your videos an taking all of us with you on these adventures .❤❤
Hi Ethan This house is beautiful. I love the kitchen the best. It’s so big and roomy. I actually did see Carlo’s version about a month ago. On his I saw you talking to the neighbor but I didn’t hear that you lied to him telling him that your grandfather lived there. The pool must have been beautiful and the pool house was great too. Ethan were you on Long Island yesterday, Sept.12, because in the parking lot of where I work I saw a Black SUV likes yours it was a Porsche and the license plate said ETHAN PT. I immediately thought of you. I saw a guy getting out of it and didn’t get a good look at him. I’m curious was that you? If it was I missed my chance to meet you. It was probably some other Ethan. Anyway thank you for bringing us along on this exploration with you and Carlo. It sure is a cool house and is a dirty shame they are going to demolish it. Stay safe and well.👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊❤
WHAT IS UP ETHAN AND CARLO?? BEEN FOLLOWING YOU FROM TEXAS FOR A LONG TIME!!! CAN NOT WAIT FOR YOUR 100K VIDEO ❤🎉SOOO EXTREMELY PROUD OF YOU AND EXCITED AND HAPPY HAPPY WOOHOO!!!!!!!
Keep educating people about what you do and why. The right people appreciate everything you do. Not to mention, your good at what you do. My first experience with you and abandoned homes, was the one you did of the development (on the water?) that was “sinking into sink holes”. Thank you Ethan. 😊
Minnie's mini car collection is absolutely splendid. Be sure to insure it. My collection that I started as a kid in 1965 was ruined in a flood about 18 years ago and I tell you, my heart wept. The kitchen is also my favorite spot in this house. Natural light all the way through the kitchen, with no dark areas, and that island is really nice. They kind of erred with those columns between the kitchen and the lower level but oh well. The whole place shows that they kept it nice. I also like the basement with it's whimsical brickwork arches and the fireplace with attached brick wood bins. And the pool house! I bet this was a fun place to live and enjoy life.
I love the brick and design of the exterior. Those colored fixed windows,or whatever they are called, are so cool and retro. This home has so many truly quality and beautiful architectural features 🤩They definitely don't build them like this anymore, unfortunately. I hate to see this one go😔✌️
You look so handsome without your hat. Glad the gentleman was so kind to you. Love your channel and your are so respectful to the house and you now harm to anything. Glad you reach 100k.
Congratulations on 100k subscribers! 🎉 Pretty awesome that you spoke with the original owner and builder of the home! The bathroom with the bidet so far from the toilet! I imagined someone penguin walking to the bidet after they go! Lololol. Very nice home with many unique features! Love the kitchen as well! On a side note, you've a very cool car collection!
Thanks for revisiting this home. It's a shame there's been damage done inside. I remember the beautiful tilework and what a gorgeous home it must have been when new. Great work Ethan. 😉
Absolutely beautiful property. Such a shame its going to be torn down for more cookie cutter houses, with no character. I would update appliances, paint, clean, I just love it. Thank you for the wonderful visit and video. Blessings to you Ethan, and Carlos too. You are the best! You stay safe.
I may be forced into a situation where I need to sell my childhood home in Calgary, with interest rates the way they are, I might have the metaphorical gun to my head if things don't shape up in a couple of years. If that happens Ehan, I will get in contact with you because I know it would just be slated to get knocked down by the developer who keeps knocking on my door. I'd love to be able to give you the guided tour and tell you all about the place, and the various stages along the way since 1979. I really hope that I don't have to sell, I love that house, but if it can be immortalized in any way, I'd like it to be on your channel.
Interesting home....Just don't understand people destroying so many homes! So much waste. Things like this just don't happen very often around where I live. Thanks so much Ethan! You do very nice work❤
Ethan here’s an idea is it possible for you to revisit the place you have shown us that are now demolished and new building put up let’s see the before and after , I know you won’t be Able to go inside but just the outside would be suffice , again it’s just an idea thank you .
It was great that you could speak with the owner and it went well. After your intro, I thought more about the time and effort people spent to make it a nice home and all the memories in these old places. It sounds like the old man came to terms with that. I'd gladly live in that pool house. The last shot of the rubble, there goes another classic home.
Most definitely an interesting adventure. Some really old original features mixed with a little 60s vibe. The original brick and hardwood flooring was my favorite. ✌️
Ethan! I love your square body truck collection. I had to zoom in! I can’t watch this one again because I saw Carlos video it looked like it had been busted up since you first filmed it. :(
The colors of the upstairs bathtub and toilet are either called " harvest gold" or " yellow mustard". Lol I was born in 1971 and I absolutely love that house. I guess it makes me and that house vintage or retro huh? Lol. Angelo( Exploring with Angelo) would love the basement 70's bar and the fireplace as do I. Keep up the amazing work you do Ethan 🫶
It never ceases to amaze me Ethan on how large these homes are once you get inside because this home doesn’t look all that big but it’s a pretty good size roomy home once you visit. It is really really nice I wouldn’t mind living in it right now. What’s a shame is like you said, individuals who are crackheads or meth heads that are impelled to have to steal and trash these homes out so badly. It’s just a shame 😢 anyways, thank you for sharing. Take care and be safe.🤠
Thanks 👍 for this! That was such a wonderful poolhouse, which i would have loved to live in !!! Wow! The tiles are absolutely gorgeous in the poolhouse and home. But ive never seen such an inviting poolhouse. The woodworking is so nice. So sad about these fine places. There would be many decades of use left in them, it really does hurt , doesnt it: the work that went into them, and the resources. To document them is a good thing, even for the future gens.😢
Awesome house but how did it get so vandalized if the owner lives next door? I would imagine he would have heard/seen something. And with all that's left behind? Such a shame the condition but I do love this house. I LOVE the brick arch in the kitchen
I love your videos , you go into so many facets of the houses ,,, it's almost as if you're talking about a person because some homes have so much character and personality !!! It's heart breaking to see the end result ,,, we all know it's coming ,,, but something that should stand and have multiple generations in it for 100 years or longer ,,, it's truly a shame to see it destroyed for a cookie cutter McMansion that's of low quality with a high price tag !!! Thank you so very much for all that you do !!!!! Russ Corbett
Hi Ethan 😎🏎💨,I love your car collection on the wall🏎🏎🏎. Again I apologize for missing so much,I had a lot of family stuff going on. Hope your doing okay to. My favorite part of that whole house was the kitchen you visited in this video, looking forward to you next video 😎🏎💨
I remember that house and all the snow around the pool. It’s a nightmare of mine to fall into such a disgusting pool. I wish they would drain these pools rather than leaving them to stagnate into a Petri dish. I loved that kitchen so cool and really big for its time. Some wild tile in that house especially the floors. Those shiny tiles don’t seem to age much in fifty years. Overall a cool house but sad to see it reduced to rubble. Could have been quite nice to see restored. Thanks Ethan for sharing. Take care be well and stay safe.
Breakfast table then Dinner table 2 rooms for them then a great room for TV ,Music, then games . People back then they were all short see why the ceilings are short in basement then upper floors. See when you look at homes from UK they all have pillars that deftly looks the style of Italy since the owner is Italian. Love the intro and the home sad to see broken items in de home. it was not like that when you first explored this beautiful Man made home.
