Not really, NEO was just HEAVILY rushed in design by Alphys' from Mettaton's pressure. He would have tanked hits just as good as Undyne due to his metal body.
i think sans's fight is mettaton's fight. mainly the gaster blasters convinced me. mettaton has a blaster on his arm. that blaster would have been "the gaster blaster" then toby switched it up
Fun Fact: M!Neo has around 30,000 hp. However since you've slaughtered pretty much every monster up to that point you out-level him, allowing you to one-shot him. It's almost like if you take a level 110 character to a level 60 raid in WoW.
The difference is that Asgore and Flowey are at the end. When you can already oneshot anything that moves. As for Sans, it's the last boss, so you already went past the stage of being able to OS, stage that has been shown by MTT NEO.
I am a little late here x3 But there is something that you guys missed! Sans has both 1 Attack and Defense, so of course the damage he takes is that high! Mettaton Neo wasn't finished! Thus his Defense was low, too! But if he had attacked you, which is the second highest Attack in Genocide (after Undyne), he could have injured Frisk (or rather Chara) quite a lot with just one hit! My guess, however, why he was an easy "boss" is that since you fight Sans right after him, without any way to get new and better healing items, and it would be even harder to fight said skeleton if you had a real, challenging fight with MTT NEO where you probably use some healing items like the Legendary Hero or the Face Steak, thus Toby decided to make him a boss like Toriel or Papyrus! And thus the story that Alphys didn't finish the NEO body! The Defense also could have been so low because he didn't want to fight you (or even feared you) and it's canon that monster's lose stats when they don't wanna fight someone! Ah but sorry! I am rambling x3 When it's about Mettaton I can talk quite a lot! He is my favorite after all! That being said, YES! NEO COULD HAVE BEEN A SICK BOSS! Just imagine~~

I mean mettaton does say NEO was never FULLY removed, which implies that it was atleast partially removed. Seen as neo is implied to confusingly be the first of mettatons forms to be made, I imagine the defences were removed to be applied to mettatons box form.

I agree with you mostly. The claps sort of take away from the main part until Mettaton NEO, from the looks of it anyways, starts to go full out around 2:50 since it was able to give a few more details at that point in my opinion.
Mettaton NEO was supposed to be as hard as Undyne the Undying. But you're so strong and full of LOVE, you can one hit him easily. That's why he has no fight.

I think it's good that you made the remix longer than the original. Most remixes just run for 50 seconds or so (From what I've heard.) It also has a great melody with different themes. Good job!
Playing genocide, I literally spared Mettaton NEO so they could go first, and it just skipped their turn. I got kinda sad that Genocide isn't just a gauntlet of everyone fighting you, and that sans and Undyne are the only two that put up a real fight. Not even the king himself would fight you..
I feel like there should’ve been more to Mettaton Neo’s fight, like an overdrive mode or overclock mode where he is capable of dealing a one shot but in turn is also a one shot, the difference is that now mettaton can dodge, and so now it’s no longer a fight to one shot mettaton, it’s now a fight to survive longer than the other until either mettaton overloads and fry’s his robot (since he’s canonically a ghost possesing a robot made for him) forcing him to leave the robot. Could be material for a mod or fan game where mettaton manages to rebuild the robot but with its original design and defense, however this is just a thought I had, but would be cool to see.

I think that the RUclips version is better. The sparsity of the claps makes the parts they are used in feel more intense, but that might just be me.
