I am a proud owner of a 225hp Plugin Hybrid Citroen C5X. It is such a refined and exclusive car! Couldn´t be happier!! I highly recommend it. Congratulations Citroen

How far can you realistically drive before battery depletion? Appreciate that depends on style but just want to get an idea based on mix of town and some motorway driving (which typically ranges from 20-60 miles a time). Do you need to charge it every day? Thanks in advance.

@@johngoogleuser3764 hello! The maximum I was able to do was 67 km on one charge. I do a 120km motorway drive regularly and it takes all battery and fuel consumption is arround 4-4,5l/100km for the 120kms. I would say that a mix of motorway and town will lead to a 45-55kms range depending on weather conditions and using regeneration or not! Hope it helps. Feel free for any more questions

Testdrove a C5 X Plugin Hybrid recently and, as a longtime Citroën-owner, was impressed by the smooth ride-comfort. A suitable highway-cruiser. Planning on replacing my current C5 Tourer by one later this year.

C 0:38 an't understand your 30mpg on C5X...just completed 180 mile journey starting off with fully charged battery..ending obviously with no charge left and yet still got 57mpg..????
Would not change my C5X .. excellent car.
(59mpg was on the return 90 mile journey with battery on 0%)

A very strange miss match of cars with a huge price difference

We wanted to demonstrate that you can find a good car for motorway driving at a variety of price points and that you don't have to restrict yourself to a particular bodystyle or only premium manufacturers.

One issue I discovered with the Q7 is it's width. In maay car parks, especially in parts of London it was painful to park. I would find it interesting to look at some more compact cars that were also good on motorways, OR much more practical load luggers. Which frankly on lly the VW here really is.

Great overview. I have a relative with an Arteon and it's an excellent car, particularly on the highway.
