@gerardvermaat6944 maybe, we don't know how tapered he is right now. This has to have been a sobering week for Bora. There were already doubts if Roglic still had it last year and now he wasn't even able to beat Vlasov who rode for him a lot in this race. Obviously the season is still young but alarm bells have to be ringing in a year where Bora wanted to contest GC at the tour.
@@daviddrake5663 GC rider on the best team gets results when the strongest competition isn't there? Shocking! Context matters. With the demise of GCN this is now hands down the best cycling coverage we can get in the USA. I’d rather watch 10 mins of LR than the whole this with US commentators…
I would have preferred to see Remco ease off on Eze and see if Jorgensen would pull to keep the Yellow jersey group at bay. I think it was either a strategic mistake or he feared Jorgi, dont but the "feared Vlasov" reasoning. Let J show his hand. He would have either pulled eventually or attacked. But that's what Remco probably feared. The descent wasn't so crazy, but Remco doesn't know Nice that well. In the end they both robbed us of some extra racing because Jorgensen could have attacked as well, on the last kms of Eze, then build a few extra seconds before the last climb then both would've gone all out and we would have been on the edges of our seats. They chose a moderate amount of glory. The phone slam wasn't suitable celebration theatrics.
@@andrelouis7740 they are highly paid professional athletes. The risk would have been of losing to the better racer, not their health or life. The descents left weren't anything crazy.

Better team, Remco not on full form and overhyped as the favorite before the race, Roglic was clear before the race that he and Bora were not racing to win but to train as a new team in race conditions. Ineos top tier team but have no potential galactico level star as leader
@@epincion it isn‘t a conspiracy to say riders are doing better when they arrive at visma. The results prove it, but i never said they have to cheat, just that Performance Levels are higher. The how is the question. I mean jorgensen had to even pay for his own altitude training Camps at movistar. So i‘m guessing the facilities at visma are better, but still they are pushing very much the Limits like with ketones.
@@maxwundu VLB Andy all the well funded teams do this for their riders plus they are super selective about who they sign in the first place. Jorgenson’s need to self find aspects of his desired training at Movistar is a common complaint, Christophe Laporte said that before he joined TJV in all 7 years at Cofidis he never went on altitude training camp nor had wind tunnel testing and there was no individual dietary plan for team members and that none of the WT level French teams did it either. This is why no French rider has won a grand tour or even a week long tour like PN for 17 years. As to supplemental ketones in my opinion are a fad that will fade as there is no evidence they do good in terms of performance or endurance it’s a lot of hype. It’s a topic I have researched as part of my profession as a medical specialist. The real benefit is coming from the strict diet and exercise regimen that goes with taking ketones. My concern is that so many claim that the consistent good performances of a team like VLB means the riders must be doping. It’s bullshit. Many comments point to Roglic underperforming in this Paris-Nice as being proof as they say he no longer has ‘the juice’. For his underwhelming performance there are lots of factors, but the elephant in the room is that he is aging and his best days are behind him, and yes he felt pushed out of what was the top star position at TJV and that must have been a massive shock psychologically for a man who values loyalty. In my opinion he felt he was owed another shot at winning the TDF as the undisputed team leader but with Jonas rising to his prime that was never going to happen. So he moved to Bora who are taking a bet on him and building a proper TDF team around him and planning on everyone in the team peaking in July. Hence Roglic has been clear that he and Bora did not come to the Paris-Nice to win but to train individually and as a team under WT level competition conditions.

I like Brandon McNulty. Underdog. Genuine.
do we meet in flanders?
This has to have been a sobering week for Bora. There were already doubts if Roglic still had it last year and now he wasn't even able to beat Vlasov who rode for him a lot in this race. Obviously the season is still young but alarm bells have to be ringing in a year where Bora wanted to contest GC at the tour.

Yes Rog is totally washed up.
@@daviddrake5663 GC rider on the best team gets results when the strongest competition isn't there? Shocking!
Context matters. For example that at the Giro Remco had to abandon while leading by 50 seconds and after that it looked like a 36 year old could fend off Roglic for the longest time. Also the vuelta seems to be mysteriously missing from your achievements. Wonder why that is 🤔
Also I'm not even saying that he is washed. Just that this week was a strong indication that fighting for GC at the tour currently is very doubtful.
Context matters "the same rule applies for remco!
strongest competition?you mean Jonas?😊
(Primož was Jonas mentor and one of first who believed in his potential to win TDF, according to Jonas)So Primož is very aware how strong Jonas is!
Congrats to Remco to finally beat 10* years older Roglič! and finishing 2. overall without punctures and illness 😊
@@user-i.irmelyn By strongest competition I mean Jonas/Jumbo and Pogi/UAE. Those are the riders/teams Roglic and Bora will have to beat if the want to win the tour. That is why they made the move, that is all that matters.
@@ForeverDayGreen Visma no more Jumbo haha
Join no integration with Karoo :( was very interested in it
I felt Roglic ought to be a bit too slender for such cold and wet conditions. Almost no tissue on his cheeks, but bones and skin let him suffer terribly in the cold.
With the demise of GCN this is now hands down the best cycling coverage we can get in the USA.
I’d rather watch 10 mins of LR than the whole this with US commentators…
Wet and winding narrow roads - amazing there weren't more crashes! 😮
Roglic was also a surprise...
Great coverage. Good luck in Flanders! 👍

The phone slam wasn't suitable celebration theatrics.
ah poor deprived spectators, the two wheeled gladiators failed to die for them in the cold and rain.. "Remboursez! Remboursez"
@@andrelouis7740 they are highly paid professional athletes. The risk would have been of losing to the better racer, not their health or life. The descents left weren't anything crazy.
Roglic-New Team-crappy weather-training ride. Yah.
Hot take: Primoz is playing the long game, pretending he's not in form and only unleashing it for the TdF 😄
It looks that way 👍
That's silly because for all riders, they're also training in these races. For him to pretend and not train himself, I mean, how stupid if that's what he's doing.
Remco did not say that. Everyone knew Remco wins the sprint 10 out of 10 times against Matteo.
You forgot to explain why speedo guy went with the speedo instead of banana hammock. Otherwise stellar commentary as always.
Show some love for the Americans!
Time for Bora to switch tactics und focus on GC Palzer
Col d'Eze nuts lol
Roglic always has a bad day on multiple day races
Visma is strong. 4th big race they have won with a different rider
Poor Egan Bernal he fell in this stage.
Crack now. Early season. If do. Win the grandies larger stage races better weather mid season
Leaving Jumbo = cracked 😅😢
Yeah?
I thought dark colours were meant to make you look slimmer! In that rain jacket Rogla looks about 3kg overweight. (5:37 into the video)
lot of guys crashed on this stage no? like where did kelderman go?
Crashed but got his time back. So he's top 10.
One question : how Jorgenson can improve so much in just few months ? Is always like this in Jumbo/Visma
Well he was good prwvious year but the extra % came this year in to place. Jorgenson was allways a talent
Just like Skjelmose, he's is only 23 and next year will be a lot stronger too. Also watch for him this year in the Ardennes and not only Fleche Wallone.
Roglic is showing bora how strong is visma
His best days are behind him. I can’t remember the last time he went solo in dominant fashion in ANY climb. Jonas on the other hand, 🤣😂
Did pretty well in last year’s Giro mountain TT. Disappointing Paris nice for sure but you can never rule Roglic out.
im early for once😅
Roggie low on dope.
Tadej looked spectacular in Strada Bianche; rode others off his wheel and 81 km solo. Jonas looked spectacular in Tirreno-Adriatico; rode others off this wheel in multiple stages. Remco and Primoz, however. look lackluster. What gives?
Your overview misses Figueira Champions Classic where Remco won with a 50km solo.
@@rschroev I think even I coulda pulled a 50 km solo there. Nobody rode that race. Besides Marc Hirschi, there were no notable riders on the roster. Maybe the rookie Isaac Del Toro or old man Mikel Landa, but that's it.
seeing this season so far, TdF will only be interesting for the 3rd spot on the podium jonas 1st pogi 2nd. unless remco or roglic make a big step up
No jumbo juice? No party 😁😂🤣
I never seen roglic riding this badly
Jusma PED are the best and this is well known among the cyclists....just check the results and how practically unknown cyclists suddenly become top notch cyclicts.... Jorgensen 😂😂😂
Roglic was 7 years at Visma, he knows everything if it is because of doping. He probably just scammed Bora, reaching Froome level as soon as he got the last contract.
@@HolgerDanske874 I was thinking the same bro....just look Vingo results....If Vingo would change the team he would be still a good cyclist but not the best....
What started the party in Itzulia?
Visma leas a bike is really strong again vinegaard wins also
I think Roglic just probably needs some more endurance training and carbs
Probably does, it is his first race of the year so we'll see if he gets better legs later in the year
the "Visma Effect", sorry Primoz
Why is that?
So, now he won the ITT in Itzulia. What's your excuse?
New team and within half a season - dominating winner of GC. Better training or better 🥤?
Better team, Remco not on full form and overhyped as the favorite before the race, Roglic was clear before the race that he and Bora were not racing to win but to train as a new team in race conditions.
Ineos top tier team but have no potential galactico level star as leader
nah the visma buff is real...@@epincion
@@maxwundu any evidence for your conspiracy theory?
First to comment, and first for matteo
LETS GO MURICA
As someone has said the best thing he ever did was leave Murica and move to Europe
What do they eat a Visma? 😮
The competition 😀
Where is the top liked comment abour Roglic missing 🥤? Lanterne Rouge moderates and deletes comments?
Why is everybody suddenly accuses jumbo of Doping?
Not doping, but it's clear they have better nutrition / training methods.
