Lee Sharpe got the headlines for his hat trick, but Danny Wallace was outstanding in this game - sadly, injuries (perhaps made worse by the onset of MS) would curtail his United career far too prematurely.

I clearly remember being in the North Bank watching this debacle. After the first 3 goals, I was laughing at all their subsequent ones because we were so outrageously bad. A shocking game (for us Gooners).

I believe the commentator here is Clive Tyldesley. But yeah these commentators have been around for a long long time ! Alan Smith was there scoring goals for Arsenal and now he is Martin Tyler's commentary partner
