Just bought a woobie/poncho kit from usgi, solid product. It easily goes back into the pack sacks it comes in.

I would have liked to see the grommets close up. Most of these i've seen won't stand up to being tied and staked out for shelters, which is a major benefit of the Poncho. I have a 'Woobie' from this Company and the quality is good.

I'll show them closer when I tie all three pieces together

These are very nice. Very solid looking with triple ply reinforcement at the corners.

Thanks for the review. Been looking for another poncho. Gives me something to look at.

It has been my personal experience, that ponchos are better than rain suits...i have spent hours in both.

I recently got the USGI and compared it to my ORC army issued poncho and it’s not of the same quality as the issued poncho. I will say it’s lighter but doesn’t feel or look as durable. Stitching isn’t as good as the ORC. For the price the ORC seems way better, and I spent lots of time with the issued poncho while in the army so I know it’s worth getting even if it’s slightly more weight and cost.

This poncho is entirely constructed in China. It is only packaged and distributed in the USA. This is a Chinese Product.

Just like almost everything else. At least it is made to the specs determined by an American company.

$37.99 not bad. Liner is $47.99. Surplus is cheaper but they smell. I washed my three times but now it smells like Gain.

Might have to use the no scent detergent hunters use

So, is it actually waterproof or just water resistant? There’s a big difference
