- Tad and I take a ride on FRO Dark Water trail head. We find an old abandoned Marion 7400 dragline and the vast area it stripped out to create this awsome array of obsticles and photo-ops! But there is more!
This is a series of trailheads in the area, each with their own history left behind!

Awesome
My boyfriend's brother worked in that area. He would climb up the boom to service it(grease it). This was in the '70's.
Criss and myself have so much fun exploring together. He has taught me so much about the coal region , and he is truly salt of the earth local. Special thanks to his wife Jamie for not bitchin while we're away for hours to find these places. I truly value there friendship..sooo. Will talk later, we got places to go. Wait to ya see what we found in st. Karen..comming soon!
sweet !!!
FRO is beyond an amazing place to ride. They have so much property it’s so worth the membership. My fav area is darkwater all the areas great tho. Trevorton was small but a sight to see. Sad you can’t ride there anymore those are some coal hills
There are some good videos on YT showing the Marion dragline working and walking...
Your right, it’s called Japanese knotweed.
Awesome video keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Home sweet Home!
They have about 30% of Darkwater closed for mining. Very disappointing season at Darkwater.
There is a sweet overlook up top of the bottom rock above the mud bogs. It is sick! You cant get to it right now as it closed for mining. @43:13…right above you guys.
The Wimsey and Kelly Hallow is to pretty cool spots. There is a spot in upper east darkwater with another bottom rock.
St. Kierns tract is where we have found other shovels and drag lines. South St. Kierns.
Awesome drone shots……looks familar, lol
Wow that thing was massive, awesome drone shots
That rock slide happen some time last year. Great video! I’m up there just about every Sunday.
That Marion reminds me of the Anthracite King beast!
Did you 💩💩💩 your pants going down that first hill 😆😆😆 and that slate bank maybe they didn't go up it maybe they came down it 🤔🤔🤔
Yes, I almost pooped on the decline..I'm getting used to the buggy now. It's unreal what it's capable of. I just don't wana hurt it. That cost..lol
