Oh Wow, If I'd heard that gun go off, I would've had the same reaction Laura did. The look on her face is one of both sadness and horror, as she realizes that her horse has just been shot.
Wow, for a brief moment, I really thought Bunny would be all right when Granpa said he''ll tend to the horse. I guess not :( ...I suppose Mrs. Oleson got her way after all in getting the horse destroyed.
This episode is heartbreaking, I'm not a horse lover-but an avid dog lover. I felt her pain when something Laura worked so hard for and loved came to a crashing halt. Her and Grandpa both reconciled at the end, and I was an emotional mess by the end of this episode.
This show was very predictable. If based on a child memories I wonder how true they are. The Ingles always had bad moments. As soon as they got one victory something else would be lost. It was easy to see the horse would die in the end. After all she got her victory, some lost must occur. Stay away from the ingles aha!
when i was young ame saw Edwards say 'she'll get over it', I vowed to never get over my great losses and hurts to show them how serious they were.

I hate it when children are so stupidly attached to their animals... Blehh...
