    Videos like this are pretty nice already, but i would appreciate a showcase on dummies for maybe a minute or so, to be able to see the gameplay a bit. Or maybe have some gameplay from a dungeon running in the background. 👍

    I would say for the weapons of light armament I would recommend if it overlaps you actually get one duration of each. So you can have both out at the same time and then it will refresh the oldest one.

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  2 месяца назад

      Would definitely be down for that, though notably as of this response the weapons have been changed a bit, pressing wings no longer rerolls weapons and the duration can go up to ~26s so you get some value by pressing a weapon early. Also, all the strength from the weapons now comes from the paladin themselves, so you're just looking to buff targets that are capping out your procs and you don't care about having 2 weapons out at once.

    So far I like the Elunes grave guardian build the most from your videos. Haven’t tried Pally yet

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +1

      Elunes is definitely solid atm from my testing! For paladin it's a little rough atm because their tier doesnt work, they have some issues with their hero talents, and their self-healing isn't scaling properly so its hard to test them accurately. Should hopefully be fixed soon though.

    So, maybe bastion of light could be a strong option because of the 4 piece tier set. We can build more holy power and have stronger avenging wrath

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад

      Yeah potentially, you could opt out of Resolute Defender if you don't care about ardent/bubble CDR and that would give you 1 more capstone point to play around with. Definitely a "max damage" option though since you have to give that up to take it.

    • @carlas2831
      @carlas2831 3 месяца назад

      That talent is a bait. Before you could use 3 holy power spender for free. Now you need to build the holy power to use the same 3 holy power spender spells. The only use for that talent imo is if you want 1 free point on the final part of the tree instead of taking 2 points on that other talent.

    I just wanna play templar but I already know ill have to play lightsmith for buffing others in m+. I hope templar is a big dps increase so that it maybe ofsets the utility of lightamith but i doubt it.

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +1

      I'm really hoping the tuning is close enough that you'll be able to play whatever you prefer, because I know a lot of people feel the same as you and prefer slamming down hammers over playing a more support-like role.

      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +1

      You definitely have more off-healing available to you now thanks to talent tree changes and the Holy Bulwark shields, but outside of that I have no clue about pvp so I can't really give an answer haha.

    do hero trees mean prot will be able to be a dps spec for example? i notice they are connected between 2 specs

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +2

      Nope, specs will stay within the same role with the trees, the theme of the tree itself is just supposed to be something that is connected between the 2 specs (so templar are slamming your enemies with hammers for prot/ret)

  • @timothywynn1574
    @timothywynn1574 3 месяца назад +3

    That is my biggest issue with hero talents I heard max talk about Templar weeks ago. And my first concern was I don’t even take eye of tyr in all content, but I am going to have too to play Templar and it’s a capstone and Templar sounds super fun so that is what I would want to play. I thought it was bad and going to be a problem from the moment this tree was announced

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, its not a huge problem if the talent is learned early on in the tree (like San'layn and Vampiric Blood for example), but it feels overly restrictive when it revolves around capstone talents like Templar or Elune's Chosen. I hope they reconsider the position of the talents involved or even the ability that triggers the related hero talent effect.

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +1

      Not necessarily that it's a burden, just that it hurts the spec's capstone flexibility a bit when it already isn't great. You're right that in many builds it's something you plan to take anyways, however you did actually drop it in Moment of Glory builds and even on some late mythic bosses like Fyrakk to pick up some other talents since you didn't need another personal CD.

    Seems like for TWW we will use like 95% of the same talents that we used in Dragonflight

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад +8

      Looking that way, which isn't necessarily bad imo if the focus is on hero talents specifically and just quality of life changes to the talent tree, especially because paladins as a whole got quite a few large adjustments to their tree over DF.

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад

      Not really, Resolute Defender is currently a staple talent and also paths to Bubble Taunt so there's another way to get to it if you're a Lightsmith that doesn't want Eye of Tyr.

    What is that perma 25% parry? That’s almost as good as the core defensiv of blood DK (even better if you factore in uptime). This needs to get nerfed. Regarding the 4 set. With blessed hammer you can easily keep it up even in downtimes.

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад

      Yeah I was VERY surprised to see that talent buffed by as much as it was. To be fair though Ppal did struggle late in expansions at AoE mitigation since they don't have extremely high values of any individual parry/dodge/block stat, instead just small/medium values of each which made it hard to compete with some other tanks that had extremely high values of one of the stats. Still 5% per stack seems like a bit much currently but we'll see.

    Tying hero trees to optional skills is bad design. Eye of Tyr should be baseline

    • @Tactyks
      @Tactyks  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, if its skills that you basically have to path through I don't have any issues, but anything based around a capstone talent is a tough sell to me for sure.

    Have you noticed WoG self healing being way lower than on live? I also felt the 5 holy power cost on the templar ability was sort of clunky with the 12 second time limit after EoT.... maybe it was because of the lack of haste on the pre-made beta character i was on..

    the thing with shining light not being free casts in terms of mana is something that ive had issues with since season 2
    im some dungeons, most notabely brackenhide in the section between first and second boss i would often go oom on prot paladin in higher key levels from wog and dispells, or also with afflicted at some times
    shining light should definitely remove not only the holy power cost but also the mana cost
    a tank spec should never have to worry about mana, just their primary ressource
    and im not even using wog on party members, just on myself
    i hate the off healing aspect when im tanking (although when i play dps i offheal as much as i can without hurting my damage, but on tanks i dont like using healing spells in general)
