Great video But my OCD kicked in and all i heard was “BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!” Hopefully whoever was backing up for eternity made it to their destination lol!!!!
What amazes me the most is how you find the time to do all of this with a full time job, a family, and a youtube channel that puts out this much content. Every time I watch your videos I feel like a lazy p0s.
That ratchet looks awesome. Need to find me one. I use milwaukee power ratchet and impacts daily at work. Also a quality product if youre looking again in future. Great video looks amazing so far.
Nice! A reliable chopper is where it’s at. My TC dyna was stolen. Gone for two years and came back a spray painted rats nest. I love the bike and always wanted a chopper. It’s only a roller now but I’m starting to get a vision. 👀
Here at the "H.O.B.T" House Of Broken Toys..... we break shit every day. Never met a toy we couldn't fix or a member of our facility that can be fixed🤷🏻♂️. We like it that way... DeWalt is the business for sure.... All I use anymore. The xr series is amazing. Keep up the good work.
Love watching the progress on the chopper. If you want a long life out of your ratchets, it's best to not do final torque or breaking loose super tight fasteners with your cordless. Use a conventional ratchet or breaker bar to break the fastener loose, then use cordless to run a bolt out. They're really not designed for heavy torque situations. You can do it of course, but the tool will not last as long. Rock on P.M.!
Look into finding a LED bulb for your headlight, I’ve got a buddy that has a hard tail with a springer front end and he was always breaking the filament. Just something to think about
Fun Watching, brings me back to the 80's and 90's when i was building bikes in my mother in laws sunken garage, she didn't have a car and my wife back then would take her where she needed to go and i would mow the lawn and trim the hedges in exchange for using the garage, built a couple metrics and 2 triumph tigers and my sporty chopper you've seen pics of, too old now arthritis in my hands makes for a long day in the garage lol.......So thanks enjoying watching you do it
When you add that washer behind the sprocket would strongly suggest you use a case hardened washer if you use a regular washer it could chew itself up just trying to prevent possible problems later
Some are gifted to have the patience to do these types of builds. I like working on stuff but after it comes on and off 4 times I'm looking for some Hennessey. Maybe tomorrow.
Milwaukee fuel is the best one I’ve had so far and it doesn’t have that big ass battery on the bottom I had the dewalt MAC ratchet didn’t last long looked just like that with Mac on it
2 years and 8 body swaps later, Monk goes to change his tail light in this bike and is like "WTF is this third wire for?" and spends a week trying to figure it out only to remember that he put in a dead wire for looks.
@@ProfessionalMonkey I feel that; my Shovel project is getting it, but that's my "make this as hard to ride as possible" project. My Sporty chop kept standard controls for rideability and I don't regret it
Instead of the king and queen one piece seat a three piece seat. A solo seat for the rider ( ease of access to the battery and oil fill), a passenger pad and a separate pad for the back rust. Just a suggestion.
I've been running a K and P reusable oil filter on my 2013 twin cam for about 10 years and 70K miles now and love it and its paid for itself by now...and it looks cool
Heard good thinks about the DeWalt, using the M12 myself. But honestly I just use a drill on the lowest clutch setting for inserting bolts before I torque them up. Bike's looking good, done before you know it!
its coming along good, patients always needed (fit n refit) when building a custom. I would upgrade that (jingle jingle) compensator and primary chain adjuster.
The rear fender almost looked as though it had a twist in it. It may have been just the camera. The curve in the fender will probably look better with some curve and shape to it.. Great looks and lines.
I went through 2 dewalt power ratchets in 6 months. Bought a Milwaukee and no problems for 3 years. I think it is just a crap shoot if they work or not.
Mr. Monk.... Dude, been a sub for years now....and you always crack me up with laughter. Tearing up the garage, getn pi$$ed off like where the "F" did I put that dang socket that I just had? Been there so many times. Did you then do the same song and dance trying to find your glasses that are your head? Been there too! 🤣
Monkey, you’re definitely inspiring me to get/build a chopper. Still got the springer and my Glide, so Hell let’s keeping adding to the Harley family in the garage. (Definitely making sure the wife wasn’t lookin over my shoulder as I’m typing this. lol)
@Mrsmonkey5151 my personal opinion is either round or square... but they need to have visors. :-) I have two 4.5 inch round headlights with visors on my paughco springer. One on top of the other. I really like that. I have seen people use square led light bars, I personally don't like that look.... too modern looking. I saw a triangle mounted upside down... that was interesting. At the end of the day whatever you prefer. Check out videos of born free, the smokeout, the prowl, or full tilt boogie. Lots of good ideas there!!!
With the taillight wires wrapped around the frame there would be a possibility that some random bit of road debris might cut them. Wouldn't shut down the bike or anything but might get you a ticket.
Brother, what and the heck was that beeping in the background? I sat here on my couch Watching the video trying to figure out. Was it in my house or on my TV then I realized it was in your video.🤣🤣🤣

Just a comment and thanks for the great videos. If the tranny isn't new I would slap a new shifter oil seal in while you have the inner primary off. Save you an oil leak later. Just sayin ask me how I know.
Might not mean anything to you but to me, you are a builder with this project (compared to an assembler). All the custom parts you pull out of your magic hat to overcome obstacles make you a builder in my eyes. Great job, it's fun to see how you enjoy this project 🤙👍 all power to you, boss.

Simplify wiring and use the Motogadget M-unit basic or blue. Reduces the number of breakers required. Using it on my 1982 restoration FXE.

My two cents… lower the rear gaurd so you don’t have such a big gap between the tyre & Gaurd.
Use vacuum line and run the electrical back. Simple
