Why the hell did mine not come with this type of spool. The spool mine came with it the biggest pile of garbage. You can't keep the damn thing operating for more than 5 min at a time without jamming.
There’s an easier option. Buy yourself the echo 400 head or the dewalt quick load bump head. They saves both your time and sanity by not having to faff around like this.
Slow speed will be easier on the mechanism. I tend to spin it up and as it’s slowing I hit the ground gently. If it isn’t letting out the string line easily within the first few tries... it is probably stuck at which point I take the battery out for safety purposes and pull the string line out manually. They sometimes jam but should just extend outward on the first try. I hope this helps. Also they tend to get stuck more so towards the end of the line because there is more room inside the compartment.
@@purplebrainzprice2696 I believe it was a bad plastic mix. If they ad to much of certain chemicals the plastic become brittle which I’m assuming what’s happened to your spool. I would contact DeWalt and see if they will send you a replacement because I’m sure they know.
Thank you for the clear visual on how to load the single connected string.
@@datagod I’m glad I could help. =]
Your video was more accurate and much a much better approach than DeWalt’s instructions, thank you.
Thank you. Very kind of you today. =]
Thank YOU! You helped my son and me last night. We appreciate the time and effort you took to make/load this video. Your the Best!
Thank you. I’m glad I could help.
Great tip to loop the line in. Mine will hold more than 10 feet in each spool. But so simple to replace with your instructions. Thanks.
Anytime. ✌🏼
Great video. Very helpful and did it all by myself ! Thank you.
THANK YOU! I WATCHED OTHERS AND YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY. WHICH IT WAS AFTER I GAVE IT A TRY YOUR WAY.
Holy smokes, i made that ALOT harder then it needed to be that is for sure! LOL
Thanks for the video :)
I would definitely give him a LIKE!

Always happy to help.

It might be the line or how it was wound from factory. If they wanted to finish it because it was break time I’m sure it was just jammed in there.
DCST920 Type 4 does not require removing the spool. Otherwise it is very similar. Great grass trimmer.
Thank you that resolve my issues
I do believe that clockwise is unlock and counterclockwise is lock!!
Jeff Ivey honestly. I get all that mixed up all the time. LoL. It’s sad. =] thank you for making a comment which will help other viewers I’m sure. =]
I have this trimmer and it’s really nice
Are you a Leafs fan? Canada has not won a Stanley Cup since 1993!
Crazy.
Thanks
Thank you
What's the most (longest) amount of Line you can load on the spool at one time?
25’ of length can be wrapped inside the trimmer head

I should look into this. Hmm 🧐 thank you
can u get that for this device? that simple?
Should you always bump at fast speed not slow

why does my line keep breaking or unwinding?? ugh, so frustrating.. im loading it exact to instructions!
Do you have this exact line or is it thinner?
@@803Garage i got that same line, bought it with my eater

SLOTS not tabs or cutouts
Thank you for pointing that out. =]
@@803Garage you are very patient, sorry for my pedantic nature -- wonderful vid.
@@JayzeVo17 I don’t mind at all. I’m still learning to do better videos as I go so I take it all in.

I do a lot of that. I promise to get better at the rambling but the jokes will always be bad.
