I´ve just come back from the trip throughout Slovenia and felt like in Shire, especially on the Velika Planina. Definitelly worth the visit (the whole country, to be honest).

I trust the Slovenes on this thread to recognize their country in the dramatic footage of this exceptionally well done video. (I originally thought it was of New Zealand.) I've only seen the Slovene coast, so it looks like I missed the best part of their country.

It was beautiful growing up with Tolken, reading their stories, you could face anything in life, even the very fires of Mordor..
Of all the wonderful, meaningful, memorable phrases & brief dialogs in LOTR...this is maybe the greatest. Although as @mclarenrob2 says above, 'There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.' is certainly right up there. Timeless truths, so beautifully conveyed...to me a very big part of Tolkien's greatness

@@PeacefulAdventuree You will have to travel to Lauterbrunnen, Rosenlauital. I was hiking through there 3 weeks with a minmal eq. I know a person who owns two chalets in that region and stood in their little mountain house during a rainy night. I can recommend you the Gastlosen, Soldatenhaus. May I ask where this was filmed in Slovenia ( if the former comment was accurate and correct ? )

I've been up for 20 hrs and I have to be back up in 2 hrs, but I've been having SUCH insomnia restlessness lately. Somehow I had a feeling that flutes would help to soothe me, but this video was even better than I expected. The music and reason are perfectly gentle and balanced so there's no startling dynamic changes, and the background scenery is beautiful and relaxing as well, so soft and still and comforting. As soon as I turned this on I felt the bodily tension and frantic thoughts melt away into perfect peace. My eyes are already closing. Thank you so much for this good medicine 🙏💜

I love the scene at 3:40. ❤ It reminds me of riding on dad's tractor to the far fields. All my brothers could fit on our Massey Ferguson tractor. One on each fender and one could stand on the chains in the back with a hand on each fender. The tractor would roar and Dad would fly over the bumps and grin. 😀 He has passed, but the memories remain.😀

When you are in unspoiled nature, every day, rain or sun, starts with beauty and every day seems to end with a miracle. this trip was almost a spiritual experience for me. I have had the joy of visiting Hobbiton 4 times and had my 60th Birthday in The Green Dragon Inn with a Banquet and night tour - I also flew to Wellington for the six premiers of LOTR's trilogy and The Hobbit Trilogy's. When you actually walk on Middle Earth Aoteoroa New Zealand and listen to this music your heart is so stirred with emotion and I love that the music and the movies have such a global following... there are Little Hobbits everywhere ready to go off on another adventure.
