Great song!
This is like right before she left Flyleaf . When she left I was like devastated for months. I barely talked to anyone or did anything. I was 12 though so I thought my life was over. Idk if you still want Flyleaf suggestions but Justice and Mercy is one of their strongest heaviest, catchiest songs. I have to stress that I don’t mean the acoustic or “violent love” version.
I do have many Flyleaf tracks to check out, but I will most certainly check that one out.
Same. I was at work when I first heard. Right before I opened, I almost collapsed on the floor I was sobbing so much. I feared she would never make music again, and I would never see her live.
I will forever consume every piece of music she puts out.
I've not tried out "new" Flyleaf, I'm already biased against it.

The lyrics, while obviously inspired by the movie, were also heavily influenced by her faith, ....The line "Betrayed by a kiss" refers to Judas identifying Jesus to the Romans by kissing his head, the song was written in the perspective of Jesus, in my opinion, because of lines like "I wont repent from this" referring to Jesus taking the sin of the world upon himself and standing in judgement for it, and "You're my flesh and blood" referring to the "Made in his image" doctrine......So the lyrics, while strongly influenced by the movie, were also strongly influenced by her faith, which just shows her tremendous songwriting ability, to take a line and be able to both apply it to a movie and her faith

1 thing you can't say against Lacey (irrespective of whether you like her tone or not); if it's her singing, she WILL give it the beans right where the performance commands it.
Good react. Gino actually came to here asking her to write and sing the lyrics. She knew nothing about the movie she was singing for so she did her research and came up with it her self. As for her movements they are normal Lacey she shows serious passion with her body movements and ridiculous vocal skills. She hits notes and keeps them with the best of vocalist.

if you provide people with the opportunity to donate, you might be surprised by the response. sometimes smaller channels do very well because they end up having some very loyal people. i know one guy that is sub 20k active viewers (usually gets about 3-4k views per video) and he's completely supported by his community via patreon to the point that he quit his "real" job.
