The soldier is about standing up For what you believe in whether it kills you or not. She also wrote it with actual Military in mind, but she often mentions in live performances that it's more about a personal war Than a physical one, how she fights For her beliefs. :D
i had the same problem with this song, and i've never been able to define what it was that was letting me down about it. it's really kind of weird. not that it's a bad song, just... missing something?
This isn't my favorite track on the album either. Fun fact though: One of the writers on this song is David Hodges, one of the original members of Evanescence. As for songs on the album that I like better, I'd suggest Feels Like Forever, Life Screams, and Roxanne.
You should react to "The Decree" by Lacey sometime! Absolutely awesome song!! 👌🎸 Love watching your reaction vids.
Her music comes from a spiritual level, the person she is standing up against is battling against spiritual things. She is an amazing Christian woman.

Vanity and Rot by her is amazing.
Rot is indeed an amazing track, I did a react to that a little while back. Haven't heard Vanity yet though.
Love your videos man, Keep it up!!!
Thank you very much. I shall endeavour to keep producing good and interesting content.
I actually love the song the beat is catchy, and you have to listen to the lyrics to understand the meaning of the song
If you loved Rot, and prefer her solo music, check out I'm Not Laughing.
Maybe she wanted it to be lightweight in this song to push the message of the song

Good reaction video! If you know she is a Christ follower it makes much more sense.
