Well Danny Espinosa, for your information, i've done what inteligent people have always done when they are ignorant on ceartin topics. I'm educating myself, you know, gaining some understanding and perspective. Just saying.
I had a massive crush on her as a teenager. Also loved the Eagles too and they often opened for Linda as well as backing her appearances. They all were great friends so it was easy to come together and perform.Linda was so beautiful and her voice was incredible.
I've been in love with Linda for 100 years. SOOOOO GOOOOD. Great steewl guitar. I had the good luck during my 52 years oif playing music, to have had three excellent steel players.
Research LINDA she's been around and it's been since the 60's. She's sung EVERY Genre. She can make you laugh and cry at the same time. She's worth a history search 😊
There is no doubt, Linda Ronstadt is the finest female vocalist any of us, our forefathers or our descendants will ever listen to her sing. Then, now and forever, she will not be matched never mind overtaken. If there is a female voice better than hers, it most certainly not be on this planet. There cannot be a God, if there was, Linda Ronstadt would be recording music now.
Linda did it all: Country, Blues, Rock, Classical, Opera, and Latin. An amazing well-rounded talent. Definitely in the top five female singers of all time.
Linda has 12 Grammys, in different categories. Is there really anyone that can beat that, in different categories? she stood up to producers and did what she wanted to do, not what they told her to do.
This is from Atlanta 1977. There is a number of videos out there from this concert. Look for Tumbling Dice and You’re No Good. The band is really cooking and Linda is, well, Linda
Linda Ronstadt’s first song & album was “different drum” 1967. Her last album “Adieu false heart” 2006. So she recorded from 1967-2006, 40 years of recording. 🎵🎶💕👍
She’s amazing. Unfortunately she now is ill and can no longer sing. She did two trio albums with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. My favorite song they did The Sweetest Gift. You might know her from You’re No Good
Someone involved with music who isn't aware of Linda Ronstadt? One of the most popular, most acclaimed, most recognized singers of the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties and into the 2000s, what has this man been doing for the last fifty years? She has earned 11 Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music awards, an Emmy Award, and an ALMA Award. Her albums have been certified gold, platinum or multiplatinum. She was awarded the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and also awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. She was awarded the National Medal of Arts and Humanities. She was among five honorees who received the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements.
Not sixties. But 70's through the 90's. She recorded just about any type of music (except maybe raga and hip-hop) before she damaged her vocal cords so bad that now she can barely speak

I've never considered Linda as country. Blue Bayou was co-written by the great Roy Orbison & recorded/released by him in 1961. Like both versions and both artists, very unique, beautiful voices. Music of my younger days.
You are right Lou, Roy Orbison recorded blue bayou in 1961 but due to some studio execs snafu it wasn’t released until 1963, then Linda cut it in 1977 & released it on her “simple dreams” album. 🎶💕👍
In the 70s we all had a major crush on Linda. Such a versatile artist. A beautiful voice and soul. She really couldn’t be held to one genre. Talent..🤠🇺🇸
Sure thing, 'dog. I was a '70s child, and the first time I ever remember feeling any kind of way because of a female was due to that raven haired goddess.
She was the first female artist to fill stadiums on her own headline. Her body of work is incredible. More hits than you can count! She could sing ANYTHING from country to pop to rock, to jazz standards, and even opera!
No one could project their voice in such a perfect way like Linda. I wish people today would quit using auto tune so that we could hear some of these great voices today. I know they're still out there.
Linda!!! One of my favorite artists. The First Lady of Rock!! However not just rock, she was so spectacular that she covered several genres, even opera on Broadway, and Hispanic, as she is of Mexican decent. You can't go wrong with Linda Ronstadt.
One of her greatest ever. I’ve been a fan for many years. Saw her live in Philadelphia several times. She’s from the Tucson Az. Area. She sings purely. Enjoy!
Linda made Roy Orbison’s song, her very own. She could sing it all: rock, soul, opera, country, the American Songbook. A once in a lifetime performer, and beautiful. Once upon a time her backup band was The Eagles. When they wanted to go out on their own, she recorded one of their songs, “Desperado”. It was a huge hit and a spectacular send off to an amazing group.
Linda could sing anything, and did. Country, the lighter side of rock, Mexican folk, she even sang on an avant-garde jazz album. This was originally sung and co-written by Roy Orbison, a Sun Records graduate with Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc.
Linda Ronstadt turned-out hits in 70's and 80's. She does it all well with 11 Grammys in Contemporary, Pop, Rock, Country, Folk, and Latin categories. Also has a Tony award from the "Pirates of Penzance".
Before the Eagles was a band Don Henly & Glen Frey were members in Linda's band. So she played a big roll in bringing together the founding members of one of the best classic rock bands of all time.
One of the best female singers of all time! I sure miss the 70’s… It’s so very sad that she can no longer sing due to Parkinson’s. She’s one of the greatest !! Enjoy your videos!
Roy Orbison sang Blue Bayou in 1963. Linda sang it in 1977. And, BTW, she has 11 Grammys, 3 AMA awards, 2 ACM awards, an Emmy & an ALMA award (Academy of Latin Music). More of her, please.
Greatest female vocalist since the inception of recorded music!!! No if's, and's or but's about it! Sadly, they don't seem to be made in her same mold anymore... Civilization is better off bcuz her music exists!!!

Thank you for reacting to country music. I love reactors who listen to music outside of their preferred genre and find that they like it. You’re thoughtful reactions have sold me, and now I’m a fan.
I listened to Linda every day when I was very young. I enjoyed Heart as well as young as 3 years old. Thanks to Linda & the Wilson sisters I have always loved original music of "most" genres and have always been eternally grateful to those beautiful and insanely talented women. Linda can sing the tears out of your face she's so good. Pure joy listening to her.
Linda Ronstadt is in my top 5 female vocalist list for sure. Thank you for the reaction. I especially love her duet with Aaron Neville "Don't Know Much". Such a beautiful love song.

She started out singing in the band shell in Tucson and even before then as a little girl in the hills. Her family are prolific in their preservation and support of music through out Southern Arizona and have since before statehood. Her grandfather and great aunt founded the Tucson opera and symphony. Her family sings like many in that region in English and in Spanish. She is also one of the great patrons of young marachis and the preservation of marachi in the borderlands and world wide.
She started out with The Stone Ponies with a song called “Different Drum” ☮️❤️🌻 I was lucky enough to see Linda in concert a couple of times. What a voice! Check out her Mexican album, the song “La Charreada” it’s absolutely amazing 🤩

It should be noted that Linda was not pleased with her attempt at Orbison's Blue Bayou. She said the range was so wide that it ended up being pitched too low for her. But she was always quite critical of her own efforts.
I don't consider this Country Music. It was written by Roy Orbison, who was considered to be within the Rock and Roll genre. However, he is in the Nashville's Country Music Writer's Hall of Fame. Linda loved all kinds of music and her recording career shows this to be true. There was a time where she encouraged members of her band to break out and try to make it on their own. They did just that and the world would come to know them as "The Eagles". They acknowledged that it wasn't until Linda recorded their song "Desperado" that their own version became known. Linda is a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but, she released several old standard songs of the Big Band era albums, Country albums with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance " light opera soundtrack (she starred in on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony. She also starred in the movie version.) & her beloved Mexican music.
Unless you’re dancing with a woman in your arms why would anyone listen to hip hop? Linda is one of the few performers of her stature that would never consider blocking her performances on you tube!
Yes, she started out in rock, crossed over to country while staying on the rock charts, and later did some stuff with Nelson Riddle orchestra. She was amazing. Ronstadt is still alive but can no longer sing.
Linda Ronstadt defined the west coast country cross over sound of the 70's. I believe this performance is from 1977 in Atlanta. Love the English Beat T shirt
You may have heard of Linda Ronstadt when she teamed up with Emmy Lou Harris and Dolly Parton on an album called Trio. They did a song called Those Memories of You which might be the most beautiful harmony I have ever heard. The tune is very haunting but extremely beautiful. I would love to see you react to that song. Sadly, Linda is currently in the last stages of Parkinson's Disease. Linda, who is now 75 years old, said she cannot sit up at the table long enough to eat a meal and she has to eat a while and go lie down and then go back and eat some more. She cannot sit up, she cannot stand and perhaps the saddest thing of all is that she can no longer sing.
I’m sorry but hip hop is garbage music that’s why he will never no who The stone Poneys or Linda Ronstadt is just saying

Im assuming the first part of your question is rhetorical. I'd be glad to engage in a conversation about HIP HOP when you're ready. PEACE
Yes, she started out in rock, crossed over to country while staying on the rock charts, and later did some stuff with Nelson Riddle orchestra. She was amazing. Ronstadt is still alive but can no longer sing.
rock and country. inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014
It was featured in the Denzil Washington movie.
You are my favorite music reactor on RUclips. ❤

Very sad
Emmylou, not Emmy Lou.
Maryann, not Mary Ann, right?
