I've built pools for 35 years avoid this contractors opinions ,He is obviously a house guy that remodels homes .I've repaired 100 's of these guys mistakes that cost the clients. Consult a licensed pool contractor and check the license for complaints. Here is a tip homeowners plaster crews are the last guys in and they see the good the bad and the contractors that don't pay their bills, ask a few plaster guys who's doing good work and you'll be fine ,pools have safty codes that protect children and people from danger and your reputable pool builder will provide you with nessessarry safty standards to ensure everything meets state codes and your available options for additional safty devices. Children are not water proof ,The best safty is to never leave children without supervision around your pools .
Jordan, may I suggest taking this video down, and making a new one that's more on target for the description? Or change this videos title, and make one that does show and explain plastering? There's only a few videos on the topic. A well made one would get many hits.
HI, Jay Thank You for the video, My husband and I in the process of a DIY pool installation we were just discussing our light at the deep end of our pool, should the guys that put the bars in install the light at this time,, and who would hook up the copper line for the cables or wires? you mentioned that the pool light was installed when the re-bar process? Thanks again, Deanne
Hey Jay. When you title a video called "how to plaster a swimming pool full explanation", it would be wise to actually talk about "HOW" to plaster a swimming pool, not the construction process. Just a though.
@@timothydbaker9950 Thanks. I found a recipe online somewhere, basically what you said. I used Portland cement, fine white sand, garden lime or Calcium carbonate, and a fast set admixture. I'd wanted the sparkly aggregates that pro stuff has in it, but that wasn't available locally.
All these negative comments below.....look...if you think you can DIY after watching someone actually plaster a pool, then I guess you think you can paint the Mona Lisa after one sitting. The plastering part is an art and takes years of experience. But you go girl/man and show us your finished product.....this guy is a general contractor...so...he gives you a general idea.....maybe all the critics should watch a professional head puller....so they can learn to pull their own head out by themselves.
I watched this and realized this guy knows nothing of pools. As a 4th generation pool contractor, I can make that statement. I was looking for a video to show someone the movements of plaster finishers and lost 5mins watching this.
As a pool builder, I can honestly say that this guy has not idea what the he'll he's talking about

And now we actually know less about plastering a pool.

Good job. I have had a service business for many years. D35 just got my C53

Dropping in as a builder in Houston 👋
He went back to being a pool cleaner after this video was released 😂

So where is the plaster? How you do the plaster.gosh
He has GC written all over him.. No clue
Could you explain plastering, and what it's made out of, and the materials I'd need to buy to make pool plaster? Thanks.
Common pool.plaster contains color dyes, lime, calcium, aggregates, marble dust and portland cement

Study up on your vernacular...
The last 3 seconds shows the Sociopath and why I want him no were near my pool, kids or wallet. "Thank you"
2 ft thick shell.. LOL clown

There is a LOT of contractors that don't know anything about pool building . So leave him alone .
Then they shouldn't make a video related to pool building
Yet many great guys can't get licensed that are the specialist. 2' of gunite was funny a 24" shell 🤣
Mount your camera. I get dizzy watching. Watched 30 seconds and shut off.
They destroyed that shell. The integrity of that shell is gone. Would love to see how it held up over the years.
oh please
seriously...
Peter, I hope you're faster at pool work then he is at explaining things! But the video footage was cool.
This is terrible. What is this dude thinking. He totally said nothing about plastering. Wish I could cut it to save you some time.
Wtf
What a waste of time watching this. Misleading title...
why i wasted my 5 mnt time for nothing!
