    so for all piecewise functions, you really have to add both integrals in order to find the mean and variation?

      Nii Ayite Aryeh I'm afraid so - yes. Unless you have a special case - for example, if the distribution is symmetric then you could state the mean without any calculation.

    at 9: 22 minutes, can you please explain how the height is 1/4 (1.18....) ?

      thies2us The formula for the height is 1/4 x, and x is 1.18...
