ASMR Singing You to Sleep 🎵

- Softly singing, humming and strumming in an attempt to induce a state of peaceful relaxation. This musical ASMR also features a little soft speaking, guitar tapping and fingerpicking, and pleeenty of stalling 'til I figure out where to take the song next. Words and melodies are quite obviously my own, given how unstructured and warbly they are! I hope you like them all the same.

I had a prof in college who used to play his guitar softly while we wrote tests. The combination of the stress, lack of sleep from studying the night before, the warm classroom with its sounds of feet and paper shuffling, and the soft playing of the guitar, sent me into the deepest ASMR coma. It would be decades before I learned to call it that, but I have very pleasant memories of those exams. Who cares if it was very hard to concentrate. Anyway, this video takes me back to that moment. Thanks; it's in my ASMR playlist.

Lately I have been dealing with depression and a deep internal struggle with myself. Once I heard you playing and singing, I immediately started to cry. Oh, wow. I think it’s the most relaxing thing ever, to me at least. I was hardly able to sleep at all recently, and still can’t but damn did this video do good on me. Almost makes me want to write again, after all this time spent watching my guitars get slowy covered in dust. There’s just something so odd and calming about the nonchalant talking over your drone-y ambient chords.
