    The first video of yours I watched was the ASMR Dissolving You video. I really liked it, very odd concept that you made work really well without making it feel weird. I checked out a few of your other videos over time and they were all very relaxing, and I realized with this video one of the things I looked forward to the most. You start off every video with one of the biggest and most genuine looking smiles I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing it with us. I only wish I could smile like that.

    • @brightgreyASMR
      @brightgreyASMR  8 лет назад +4

      Aw, I bet your smile is fab. We never see ourselves when we smile the widest (I guess unless we're raging narcissists looking in the mirror, haha). Thanks for your lovely comment.

    Your Christopher Walken cadence is perfect, and complements your accent well. You seem to have a natural talent for ASMR as even your awkward bits have grace.
    part of what I think makes newer artists so compelling is the apprehension that comes with exploring something new, yet still continuing.
    Thank you for sharing your relaxing presence. I truly look forward to your videos

      Woot! Chuffed a British girl on the internet.
      What's uh - Chuffed mean anyhow?

    • @brightgreyASMR
      @brightgreyASMR  8 лет назад +1

      Chuffed, adj: "pleased, happy," c.1860, British dialect, from obsolete chuff "swollen with fat" (1520s).
      There ya go, I didn't know the etymology 'til I looked it up just there. You live and learn!

    The thundering noise with the mic sounds really good...You seem to be very knowledgeable so I think content is not a hardship for you. I think the duration of your videos are spot on with the stories you tell...I work a lot and wan to continue to do so next year :)..I like this constant stimulation with your stories...I think it brings more of you to your audience...anyway I try to leave short comments, have a great new year as well!

    Oh, good, I was worried from the earlier video that the mic was going to be mono only. Stereo makes it all betterer! _Now_ I'll be subscribing. Thank you! ;)
    (This mic should work well for you for a long time, but if you have any desires to upgrade in the future, I recommend considering a Zoom H2n (used ones are fine too). They're portable so you don't need to be tethered to a computer, they have a nice surround sound mode, plus can be used if you aspire to get a 3Dio mic some day. :)

    It's mad how Irish you sound!! I couldn't place your accent until about 10 mins in

    I've watched this video three or four times already and watched maybe half of the ones you've made so far. Please don't change from this style. Just talking about something different makes it all new, at least for me. Role plays are fine but this is awesome!!!

  • @TheLaboresluna

    The combination of whispering and sounds is great. Please do more of this style that are this length. Not a fan myself of the scripted scenario stuff but the off the cuff talking about whatever comes to mind is great. If you do just sound trigger videos I personally prefer those longer.
    thanks again for the great video

    Yes someone with an "accent" I don't get to hear to often. Funny that people think you sound Aussie.. I have heard them enough to know you don't sound like one. I don't know if that's a compliment or.. I have only seen parts off this video so far because I want to save it for before I go to sleep. I had just woken so that will be awhile. Good luck to your asmr RUclips channel adventure! May it bring you many subscribers including me!

    G'day. I saw the comment below about you sounding Australian. I'm an Aussie, and you sound Scottish to me. I like whispers and mouth sounds but not so much brushing or crinkling. Close up hand movements (or with a brush) I find relaxing. Mostly I only like tapping on glass/crystal. Fabric scratching/rubbing I'm finding more appealing. Everybody is different so you won't please everyone all the time. Thank you. : )

      Thanks for taking the time to respond so comprehensively! It's great to hear what works for at least one person, I'm ever so sloooowly collecting data for future videos. There's probably a more efficient way, haha. Nevertheless it's nice to hear it from you guys personally.

  • @NinjaRaider2
    @NinjaRaider2 8 лет назад +1

    I think 15-30 minutes is a good length for an ASMR unless you specifically want to make a long video for some reason, which you might occasionally if you wanted to do a bunch of different things or something. Hard to say exactly what my favourite trigger would be, but scratching like, various fabrics and carpet and stuff is nice.

    • @RwatchesASMR
      @RwatchesASMR 8 лет назад +1

      NinjaRaider2 I never go for just 15 minute videos, because I want to be sure to fall asleep before the end so that I don't have to look for another video. :-)

    Thank you for doing this :) please don't change a thing. Your hesitant speaking is very rare and is my best trigger. I also love that you are genuine and real. Way too many plastic princesses in this space recently. Sadly ASMR seems to have been taken over by the soft porn squad. I also love the calm space you are in and the soft lighting. I assume you are sat near a window? The natural light is very atmospheric. I know it's difficult for producers but I think the most important thing is quantity of content. Some is going to suit some people and some will suit others so just doing stuff even if it seems boring to you is the best approach in my opinion. I never mind seeing people do the same old stuff again because I don't know what you will say or do next and an important aspect of the hesitant speaking I think is the listeners brain trying to anticipate the conclusion to the sentence, if that doesn't sound to sudo sciency :)) Best wishes to you and yours, Gilly.

    I think 25-40 minutes is the best length. Anything shorter than 20 minutes just seems to go by too quick. Longer videos that go up to say an hour I think can be good as well.
