Lovely tie, John. BTW, we have a solution for small developers around the costs and therefore the predicted profits. Perhaps it would be good to have a chat about it. Happy New Year 2025 John.

Thanks John. You are the GOAT. I don't know what that means but young people say it.
Thank-you for all the time you spend helping educate & entertain us & for being public in your fight against socialism / Labour.
Can a member of the Conservative Party get away with secretly joining Reform as well? Just a thought for 2025.

Stamp duty is 8% in Scotland (Additional Dwelling Supplement, on top of LBTT tax of between 2-12%). This tax is suffocating business. It simply tells me the Scottish government does not want a private rental sector. Why else the huge disincentive.

With interest rates still up and the rip off extra stamp duty, it’s a bad time to buy any more I did have plans for a few houses this year 25 but I’m saving up and might just wait,

I think the hikes in tax duty is actually more reason that its a good or better time to buy... its a sign of strength in our position as landlords and i intend to expand in 2025. Dont be too cautious is my advice
