I have never been to London. However, I have always longed to go. Number one on my to-do list in London for as long as I can remember is to visit Sir John Soane's Museum. It has inspired me greatly.
This series has been one of my favourites. Thank you both, and to all involved in the production, for pulling this all together. I'd love to see a series or at least one episode on the artist John Piper. I know he wasn't an architect, but he did some stained glass windows in churches and was an artist/photographer of medieval and 20th century architecture, as of course you will well know.
I've really enjoyed this series, I think it's been my favourite so far. Something I found particularly interesting was the insight that Soane was at his best and most interesting when working around massive limitations. Also, the idea of the Soane wanting a successor to live almost like a new incarnation of himself, living in his house, sleeping in his bed, is pretty amusing. Like an attempt at secular reincarnation!
Great video. I would say Soane was a deist rather than an atheist. For example, as a Freemason he would have had to believe in a supreme being, but no necessity to believe in Christ.

Looking forward to viewing this video!
Do you ever think you guys will cover Charles Cockerell? I love the ashmolean he designed
