In a lot of cases it is just practice. I can only play organ, piano & general keyboards because I used to practice a lot, especially in the early days of my piano lessons.
This has been a stressful week for me; my partner had shoulder surgery to repair the joint and I spent a lot of time in a hospital that is modern in every respect except for the chairs in the waiting room. I have no idea why they still use chairs that were designed by the Spanish Inquisition! Anyway, now we're back to normal and I can catch up on your videos, which despite not being a model locomotive builder I still find them relaxing and informative.
Yeah, sounds like a bad week to me - I bet you are glad it's over. This week I am having various Diabetes related blood tests and the good news is that my HBA1C number is down from 65 to 52 - I junked the meds and worked out how to control it using diet only - I feel much better now.
@@keithappleton Oh yeah, my partner also has diabetes and her doctor put her on a diet along with meds and right now he has stopped her meds as things are back to normal. It's amazing how well a good diet works! Here's hoping your health improves!
What did you use the belt sander for before? I ask this because I messed up a batch of beer once because of a trace amount of cleaning product being left behind even after rinsing. I had to dump the lot.
Is it possible that your eye irritation is due to the form of fine particulate oxides of the metals in the alloys. I don't know which type of gunmetal you are using, I know that mostly they are alloys of copper, tin, zinc and lead. All of these are irritant, and can form very fine dust. I no longer have to machine metals much, but when I do I always wear full goggles rathe than glasses (actually I have goggles that fit over my glasses):
I love the demonstration of skills , wish I had them.....

So if I followed my logic 😁I would be asking if some grease or oil got onto the belt from a previous job..
It’s only a guess..
Fluid was old, volatile components were missing

Thanks, you are probably correct I think }:-)))
Especially lead and zinc, they are especially dangerous!
Yes indeed - thanks.
