I’ve just acquired two lovely 15 month old chins. I am slowly taming them but sometimes when I pick them up they get very stressed and cry! Should I put them back in their cage or try to calm them down by stroking and waiting? I want them to get to like being handled. Am I doing more harm than good? Chris

I would say what you are doing is fine
If they are getting squirmy or trying to get away or slipping fur I’d back off some
