The sheer, unadulterated JOY in the music that Gracie emits here gets me a little choked up every time I watch this clip. Damn.
For those curious the parts here that were not in the album version are -

(courtesy of sweet vermont and red rocks): listen and watch carefully... this song five times in a row, and you will get a taste of what we so desperately need (almost more than anything else) particularly these days: to heal, to dance, and to love.....that which (only) truly great live music can deliver....the ambience, her singing, + the solo that scott takes ( 3:17...) are goose-bump inducing..... support live music whenever it returns !
This clip actually brought tears to my eyes, strangely enough -- the song is really simple, but beautiful at the same time (love that chorus); and the pure boundless joy in the band's delivery (look at that grin on Gracie's face!) is totally infectious.
I ended up burning that entire Skowhegan show. It was very good. This Red Rocks show was my first taste of GPN on RUclips a few years back.
The fact that Grace looks BANGING hot in the Tina turner dresses, go crawl back under the rock that holds up your car! They are playing it all perfectly! And defiantly go see them if they come to your town. The show is a do not miss !
Just saw the same show on Sunday night. It was absolutely incredible. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are no joke.
She's a 10 and her talent pushes her to 20 She's a rare creature in this day and age, thank God for young musicians that continue to practice this style of old school rock and roll.
i have to watch this video every day,right along with her other video's, this lady has so much passion in her music.

Compare this video to the new CD in 2015 - just makes me sick. Can't believe she is going commercial. So sad - she was the best ever. Still hoping for repentance. Come on Grace! Give us the old school like this !!!!! We miss you dearly.

this was my favorite song band and video when i was 12
I was at this show standing on the side of the stage. First of all if you ever see a band you like that will be performing at Red Rocks - GO! It is a one of a kind experience. Second, Grace Potter and the Noc's kick butt live! Third (and most important) I love Grace!!!

@Cbbyosoy, it's worth whatever trip you have to make. Fell in love with them live, will go see them every chance I get. The whole band are talented musicians; Grace is...there are no words to describe her amazing talent. They put on the best show.

Loved this version of "Stop the Bus", better than the album one IMO. The second verse here is not in the album version, nor is the second half of the third verse.

The difference between this band and DMB is this band is good.
I can see where this is going. I saw it with Big Brother and the Holding Company and again with The New Bohemians. The band, other than Grace, needs work or replacement. Check out the Jammy version of "Cortez the Killer" to see her come alive - with much more interesting musicians.

@forestgroveful Any band or artist worth their salt is going to evolve. This is a pretty old vid. I saw her last month and she still has the same power to kick your ass while on stage. Few women in rock can command attention like she can.

2:01-2:03.......*sigh*.......over an above my love for grace, GPN in this context was awesome....a "jam" band for sure.......pure raw talent, jeans and t-shirt.......a little concerned about a possible sell-out nowadays (in regards to the wardrobe anyways)........still love them though, GPN RULE!!!

@PappyCaligula Before the makeover, she looked more authentic and had more credibility as a rock and roll artist. You can see here that she looked more comfortable and moved around more on stage. Now she looks like Heidi Klum holding a Flying V (and wearing ridiculously high heels). They gave her an "American Idol"-style makeover to turn her into some sexpot. I'm sure that's more appealing to the masses, but it's not very rock and roll.
Yes she is hot but she really rocks. Pretty much a jam band with this song. I like them more every time I hear them. Sort of solo music now I think.
